    Lake Catherine State Park Campground

    Cute and busy

    We liked Lake Catherine State Park. My husband tried fishing, to no avail. I chose swimming and was also a little let down. The water by camp is extremely shallow. Even 50 ft from bank youre only in 2 ft of water.. so I opted for floating and it was perfect. My husband had my float tied around his waist while he waded around trying to fish. It was honestly magical. The bathrooms, which contain a couple of stalled showers, are some of the cleanest we've seen in all our travels. A lot of the sites are directly on the water and it looks like each group of sites has its own dock, so thats really cool. The waterfall had no falls bc it hasnt rained here in some time. There was a really nice shop that had ice, wood, souvenirs, a few groceries, and practical items like sunscreen and bug spray as well as rv stuff, like pipes and hoses. There is watercraft rental here but we didnt check that out. 2 nights cost us $52 for 30 amp, water hookup, right by the bathhouse and a site on the water. It was honestly worth it. Probably would have stayed longer if it had been a little cheaper though.

    Daisy State Park Campground

    Favorite place to camp.

    This is our go to get out of the house and enjoy the piece and quiet of the area. Of you need a break this is a great spot. Always clean, great staff. Just a good place.

    Haw Creek Falls Camping

    Really popular spot

    We spent one night here. It was a little bit of trouble to get to, as I'm not a fan of driving in the mountains. It had a nice fire ring and a picnic table. There are 2 vault toilets here, not the worst we've seen. They did have toilet paper. Super cute but very shallow swimming hole, maybe 3 ft deep? Very popular too. Seemed every site was full when we pulled through to check it out, so we picked the only open spot, #1. But when we left at 10 am, only one other campsite was occupied so I think they were just daytime guests. We walked downstream a lot looking at small fish in the little pools and we "swam" in the swimming hole, it was nice bc it was hot. Beautiful scenery. No service for my phone.

    I am not a high maintenance kind of chick ….i used pit toilets and sun showers and that doesn’t bother me but this weekend was horrible. The staff was nice but the overflowing dumpster led to a plethora of flies and issues trying to keep them out of our foods The air quality was horrible due to the stench of the dumpster was a true health concern every time the breeze came from that direction The following are photos of the concerns overflowing dumpster 150 feet from our site

    Hot Springs National Park KOA

    Great KOA, Friendly Staff

    Here for an overnight and it was a great night at this KOA. Pool, trails, lake were fantastic. In a camper B RV so no issues navigating to the camp using the Google Maps way. If you are in a big rig RV, it’ll be tight.

    Really nice spot. With good swimming hole. Flush toilets were clean. No lights though but had power. Camping only no rvs or campers. Super peaceful. Water on site. Nice Boat launch

    Maumelle COE campground

    Peaceful and easy going

    Stayed on site E4 level site with 50 amp hookup water and no sewer. Camp staff was friendly and helpful. No problems with bugs or mosquitos. Bath house very clean. Grocery store and restraunts  within 10 minute drive.

    Dagmar Wildlife Management Area Campsites

    Nice place

    A couple of miles on a gravel road. It's in pretty good shape. Easy road for our 23 ft Mini Lite. We grabbed the first spot with a "camping spot" sign. Leveling was easy. Really good for an overnight stop. Some Verizon signal.
