Deserted, Buggy, But Nice!!

I thought I’d stay here because it said it was free on the app: IT IS NOT FREE. It’s cheap though! $12/night and you can book on the recreation.gov app.

If you want to tent camp or sleep in your car, only book sites 1-5. The others don’t seem to have flat spots for much of anything. Perhaps…

Wonderful Campsite

What a pleasant surprise! Plenty of space, easy back in parking. You can walk to the crater if you like, less than a mile. Nice bathroom and showers. Stayed 2 nights. Plenty of stars. No bright light to ruin the true camping experience!

Hidden Gem

We spent a week at this location. The sites are at the back of the property near two small ponds and it was quiet. The golf course was nice, although we did not play. The sites had 50 amps and full hook ups. We arrived later afternoon and were shown to our spot. The wifi was decent in the back area…

Best camp ground. Very kid friendly and pet friendly. Most of the spots have some of the best views you have ever seen. Wonderful playground for the kids.

Beautiful

Campground is really nice and convenient to the crater. Very hot Diamond mining in the summer as there is very little to no shade in the crater. Nice swimming creek nearby.

Beautiful, spacious and quiet!

We were in site B5 (one of 15 sites out of 124 that have FHU), for 12 days in September and October 2020. This site was not very level but we had great views of the lake out the front and side of our MH. It had a grill with table, picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are nicely sized,…

Great spot

Only stayed one night but accommodations were great. No one was using any of the tent spots. No problem setting up hammock. Great views of the lake. Bathrooms very nice and clean. Very quite and looks like they have plenty to keep you busy. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Awesome Opportunity

This park has an unique opportunity while camping; hunting for diamonds. The whole family loves this park!

The kids will spend hours playing in the mud and hunting for diamonds right along with the adults:-)  There is definitely fun for all at this unusual opportunity to find real diamonds…

Great Family Camping

We visited over Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed our experience. The sites are all very well kept, level and offer plenty of space. We were able to have our small camper with the addition of a rooftop tent, and a standard size tent with no problem.

All sites are level, have a solid picnic…

Clean campground

Clean campground with decent sized sites. Only a handful are 50 amp, which we were fortunate to get. The park isn’t very large (about 50 sites). Exterior sites have more space between them than interior sites. Lots of people pulling their boats up to the shoreline and docking there. Lots of shade.…

Clean, Spacious, Fun!

We LOVED our site and all the amenities. We had a spacious site in the D loop, camp was clean, and beach was fun. Highly recommend! Big playground, well laid out sites.
