Nice area but tent sites are not good

You have to park in the parking lot and carry all your stuff to the camp ground. Definitely don’t recommend using a tent site at all. The entire…

Nice park, water and electric at the site. Some sites are a little close but not bad. Weekend campers mostly, very friendly.

Summertime

This park was nice, we had a nice secluded spot right by the lake. The swimming area was crazy busy the weekend we were there. The trail we went on was nice and the park interpreters were very informative!

Small

We didn’t camp but the campground choices are few and the beach is small. However, it was a great shady place to enjoy with bathrooms.

Secluded and Scenic!

Several first come-first serve sites for RV or tent. Fire rings at each site and vault toilets at each end of campground. Limited Verizon cell. Great hikes on bluffs overlooking valley.

Busy

A LOT of people use this access including outfitters. Great gravel bar, plenty of room to.launch, picnic, camp. Very clean, people did a great job of picking up after themselves.

  • Beautiful, historic river. Full of smallmouth bass and many other species.

As rare as it's name

Fantastic scenery, camps, facilities and hosts. Family owned, family friendly. Located at the end of the world, it will take a bit to.get there but the drive is worth it.

  • The drove into the campground is amazing
  • Cabins for rent. Different sizes for different needs.

Great family river floating

We took a trip to the Buffalo Point Campground in mid July and it was awesome. Our elementary school age kids as well as the dogs enjoyed the river very much. And some easy hiking was also on our list.
