Close to I8 and the BLM Sonoran National Monument. This is a Pinal County park and there are about 19 sites, most are nice large pull thru sites. Well maintained dirt gravel roads. 14d limit and $10 nite for standard site with a shade cabana, table and bbq grill. Camp host on site. However there…

Stayed closer to highway bc kids make a lot of noise and we didn’t have to worry about bothering anyone. Views are great and sites well maintained.

Super solid camping outside of Phoenix. Great views all around. Excellent hiking and mountain biking in area. Easy access.
I planned on staying about 5 miles away on some public land but upon arrival, I didn’t have service (remote worker) so I quickly found this place. Arrived in the dark and pulled up the reservation site (all online). It’s $10/night plus a $2 processing fee. Spots were spacious, had a picnic table…
Quick getaway close to home but seemed like we were far away. Yes there are OHVs out here but nothing rowdy going on by us. We camp wit a TT and had a great time.

The views are amazing but so is the traffic. But around 9pm it quiets down. Sites are close to the road for the most part unless you have a high clearance vehicle. Lots of hiking in the area. Trail head at end of road gets very busy. Oh also this is state trust land so permit is required.
Beautiful lake! Lots of shoreline access for swimming. Roadrunner campground is very nice. Quiet and beautiful views.

People leave a lot of trash here :(
Close to Goldfield Ghost Town. Get the permit to Bulldog Canyon and hit the trails off roading.

Drive through the town of Gold Canyon AZ, and you quickly leave behind the sprawl of suburban Phoenix, but embrace the sprawling landscape of the Sonoran Desert which is brimming with life in the spring. The unpaved road leads to multiple pull-offs and side roads where you can find the perfect spot…

We were actually a bit south of this (but the app won't let me add a new camping area). This is on AZ State Trust land d and a permit is required. https://land.az.gov/
There are wide open spaces for solo or group camping and it is close to town. This is a great winter camping spot!

This is in Arizona State Trust Land area so a permit is required. This can be purchased online for $15/individual or $20/family of 4.
Lots of areas to pull off and camp here. The main dirt road in is fairly smooth with some areas of washboard. There are some nice flat areas further up the…

Incredible view. Temperature great mid January and the cacti stand so so tall. Great campground right off the residential area and views you can’t beat. I want to stay at this site for 14 days it’s so good.
We stayed here thru the month of Dec. 2020. The park is very friendly and clean with several amenities including a laundry room, pool and hot tub, tennis court, bocce ball, fire pit area for a small group etc. There is a big Hall for activities but because of Covid it was closed. We would…
