One of a kind scenery đź‘Ś in America

Great place to stay. No hookups so go when the weather isn't hot and you need a/c. Great 4x4 roads to explore the rugged but beautiful scenery!

Cute, clean, and classic

Upon arriving during Covid we weren’t sure if we were going to get a spot with a covered table, but we were able to snag one. It was so cute and well kept. Plenty of space and distance between campsites. The bathrooms were nice and clean too.

Pretty nice

We stayed here one weekend in early April and had. A nice relaxing weekend. This campground is well cared for and the owners are very friendly. I would say the kids park could use some updating and the pool was too cold to swim in this time of year but we still had a nice stay 🙂. Only downside was…

Stopped for the night

Couldn’t drive any longer so used my KOA app on the road and booked it. Pulled in after hours and folder was waiting with map and site number. Very convenient to the I-10 with big gas stations nearby for coffee and gas for early exit. Full hook ups, easy pull through and well marked sites. Would…

Arizona hospitality AAA

The Owner of this campground is amazing. She goes beyond duty for her guests. We had a lovely time here & Joyce showed the children some of Arizona's night creatures. Highly recommended!!

Almost brand new, well maintained and FF sites!

After a winter storm prevented me from using my reservation at The Big Bend the past February I was faced with a dilemma. Where could I get a a site for 2 weeks with clean toilets, a place to wash the dishes and warm weather?

The answer was Twin Peaks!

Surrounded by the beautiful Sonora…

Pretty but noisy

Well I was kind of nervous since the last review talked about human trafficking. Which led me to only staying one night, there was a lot of trash when I went. A lot of loud trucks in and out also and the signal for my ATT was one bar if that. Also if you have dogs watch them very carefully with the…

Awesome!

After spending a day in Saguaro National Park we weren’t sure if this wouldn’t just be more of the same. Wrong! Loved all the trails within this National Monument and the whole vibe of the place. Sort of like Big Bend National Park in that it’s definitely your destination due to its remote…

Pipeline Rd, Marana, AZ

Wide open BLM dispersed camping area near Saguaro National Monument outside Marana, AZ.

The road to the site is paved until you leave Avra Valley Rd on Pipeline, which is a very good dirt road. Our site was as far from the pavement as you can get and we had no problems getting in with our 41’…

Good free dispersed boondocking

Stayed here for three nights with the wife and kids in a tear drop type camper. It has a good amount of spots that are flat. We have never camped in the desert before, but it is still too cold for the woods. We enjoyed it and it really piqued our interest in desert camping. We did a short overland…

Peaceful...but..

I stayed at these sites for 2 nights. Easy to get to with lots of Saguaro cactus to enjoy! Felt safe but I did run into several folks who warned of nearby human trafficking rings. As a solo traveler this made me feel pretty uneasy, so I left the following day. If you are traveling with others I…

No sign from road to know you're there

Free. Not crowded, and pretty quiet. Road is washed out in a couple of places so take it slow. Google maps was right on for the turn off.

We will be back!

Only stayed here one night but we thought it was pretty nice. A little close to a busy road so for our pop up it was a bit noisy. Might try to get a campsite on the other side of the grounds next time. Nice heated pools and hot tub, Clean bathrooms/ shower rooms. Has a game room, pickle ball…

Nice Winter Hideaway

Very nice location only 4.5 miles from town market. The sign entering the park says "Permits Required" but I spoke to some campers that came here every winter and said that stopped about four years ago and no one there that I spoke to had one.

There is and area for horses and a picnic area…

Twin Peaks is a beautiful campground

Although it is in the desert, the sites are well spaced. No utilities at the campsites, but plenty of water faucets and the restrooms were very well maintained. We hiked the trail out of the group campground and also the Victoria Mine trail. Beautiful desert sun set and sun rise.
