Cactus Mountain Vista

The path leads up a mountain away from the city lights of Tuscon. It’s just a short drive away. There’s plenty of spots. Watch out for huge ants! We almost camped on a mound. They won’t bother you however. All in all a good spot. It overlooks Saguaro National Park. You can see the many cacti from…

Wake up next to Saguaros

A lot of ATVs, noise, and trash, but the view is pretty fantastic. Park along the road and set up camp, but there are many prickly friends nearby so be careful.

Pretty cool campground

The Triangle T Ranch is a neat experience. It has history and character all around. Even though it's only a quarter mile from the 10, the noise is very minimal.

We showed up while they were hosting a wedding there. We were never greated or shown any hospitality because of that but we're…

Gorgeous

This is probably view wise my favorite place to camp. It was pretty full when I went with big RVs which made it hard to find a spot off the road. The spots are pretty easy to get into though the road is pretty clear and smooth. The sunset here is unmatched.

Accessible and Scenic

We stopped here on our way further west. There were 2 other campers there, but we were able to find a great spot where they couldn’t be seen.

Plenty of sites, ours was 1.5 miles off 191. Easy to get to in our 26’ bus. Saw a handful of vehicles pass by, likely on there way to Hot Wells.

The…

Beautiful Views and nice campsites

Boondockers paradise. Beautiful views and spacious campsites. USFS Coronado National Forest controlled. Ranger came by a day after we arrived and checked in with us. 14 day limit on staying here and it seems like it is enforced.

Had two Canyon Towhees come visit us every morning.

Some traffic…

Great little campground!

Spent the weekend here and it didn’t disappoint. Great little campground. Lots are close together but we had great neighbors. There is no water and decent pit toilets. No cell service but that was what we were looking for. Great hiking in the area!

KOA all the way!

Super clean sites, loved the firepit social area, laundry rooms and bathrooms were toasty warm during the crazy polar vortex weather. Love the last minute night check in option.

Perfect Tucson Getaway Camp

We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon in late February and were pleasantly surprised to find this first come, first serve campground nearly empty. We drove toward the back of the campground to explore open sites and selected walk up site 23. Perched away from the road and surrounding campsites with a…

Great spot.

Beautiful rock backdrops and views with lots of trails. There is much dispersed camping and although the area can be quite busy, there's lots of space and privacy can be had. The area is nice and clean for all the use it gets - folks doing a good job of packing it in and packing it out :)

Gem Near East Saguaro NP

It’s just past the Tanque Verde Falls trailhead parking lot. Beautiful views and lots of RVs around. Off-road route can be bumpy but worth it. Car camping OK.

Excellent dispersed option!

We headed over here early on a Saturday morning and found a dispersed spot without a problem. Tons of spots available and some of the dips might require high clearance but we did fine with our vintage trailer and suburban. The spots are level and shaded (or full sun if you prefer). No water or…
