Clear water and sky

If you got a boat, get to Priest Lake. The waters are a little cold but crystal clear and on a clear night, you’ll see the bulk on the Milky Way.

Our favorite annual campground

Perfect lake to swim in that is connected to a larger ski lake with a channel so there is not heavy boat traffic on the ski lake.

Added to our yearly campsite

A great campground with river access and boat launch. Site 16 and others feel my like a private campground trees in between each site and lots of privacy. limited to no cell service  to get away from it all. Have fun exploring the area around with many outdoor attractions. Is on our calendar for a…

Great Spot for Spring Camping

After our second visit to the CG in three weeks I would say that this place is an esp great place to camp in early spring when there are less campers and a quieter experience. Maybe best of all there are no bugs out tonspeak of yet. The sites are close together so I can see how in the busy season…

Hike by morning, water by afternoon!

We really enjoy this campground if you can snag the bigger campsite to spread out!  It has the cleanest pit toilets' I have ever seen (seriously!) Whoever they hired does an amazing job! The boat launch is an easy place to put in kayaks or motor boats.  The trail along the lake offers beautiful…

Flyfishing get away

A quiet gem back in the woods with a lake perfect for kayaking or flyfishing. No motor boats and just a single trail that is a mile long, it has several generous sized campsites and a porta potty available. It does NOT have running water, but you can always scoot down to South Skookum lake to get…

Quiet & out of the way

Found this campground at the end of the season right before winter. So quiet and nice access to the lake for fishing and kayaking. Rather close to the Canadian boarder and close drive to a variety of hikes.

  • Roomy campsite
  • Lake Pierre
  • Access to lake from our campsite.....probably should use boat ramp

Spacious River View

Nice campground along Columbia River. Spacious sites with plenty of room and cleared out under trees. Marina very close to launch boats and within driving of a number of nice trails. Only complaint was the number of bugs made it less enjoyable outside when it was warm. Visited nearby Sherman Peak…

Great Beginner Backpacing Trail

We entered the trail from the South Entrance. There’s a lot of trails that criss cross around the trail head entrances (there’s a few places to get on it). There was one steep grade on a sandy hill. We had to cross water (14 inches) which resulted in a pair of wet socks for me (I came prepared)…

Older private campground with power for $40. There is a dump at an additional cost of $10. Some sites are dry camping only. Lake access, but campground is in treed meadow. Sites are not clearly defined. We were here on Wednesday and only ones here other than permanent trailers. Showers are $2 and…

There was a glory hole in my room

It was a nice place to stay near the trail system. Indoor shower and bathroom. I did find it a little odd that there was a strange glory hole in my room.

Disperse Camping

I disperse camped at one of the sites outside of the main campground, it was really nice! It was close enough to the campground that I was able to walk into the campground to see my friends who were camping in the campground. The lake was relaxing, the cove is the prettiest part, it’s a bit of a…

Great spot next to Sullivan lake

This is a more rustic campground with only a few water pumps available and no other services besides a toilet. Each site is large with trees between so you do have a lot of privacy. We found lake access to be semi-difficult besides a single boat ramp but the nearby Sullivan lake has a great day…
