Their campground has a lot to offer. With the good comes the bad. The camp spaces are packed together and the road I. And out is very narrow. All in all it is a nice day lace with lots of shade.
Great for dry camping. Camping sites are just gravel parking spaces. Usually plenty to choose from. Generators aloud. Super cheap. Only $10/night! Mosquitos are pretty bad this year cause they didn’t spray last year during Covid. Other than that greet spot that is close to the beach.
This is one of my favorite places to get away from it all but still be connected. Limited cell service with Verizon.
Great campsites! Plenty of space between and large area to enjoy. Vault toilets are in good shape, well-maintained. Miles of trail to enjoy from the site. Stock water nearby.…
We had a great time here. We camped in the tent camping side towards the lake (site 89) and had a decent amount of privacy. There was a stream leading to the lake right behind our site which was beautiful and so relaxing to listen to at night. Only downside was the site is fairly dusty/lots of…
Just wanted somewhere kind of close to go check out and camp. Husband wanted to go fishing there so we figured if there were sites we would stay. Pulled in and there are two sides of the lake to stay on. We had one picked out but then decided to try the other side which I’m glad we did since we…
Clean, well-kept facilities. If you’re hooking up, you’ve got sewer right at the site! Hiking to the top of the plateau is worth it. Tons of little hidden spots along the water to find a place all your own.

This was our first trip to Sunbanks. Our friends go every year but I never get the time off expect this year. It's a great location right on the lake. You can bring your boat and dock it on their floating docks. It's crowded on holidays so book earlier to get a great spot. The only two complaint I…
Very nice state park. Well managed. Clean. Fishing was fair for walleye, bass. Hiking was abundant. Easy in and out. Could use cable along with water, sewer, electric, hook ups.
We have stayed here a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay every time. It books up quick on weekends, reservations recommended. Great lakes for fishing close by. Make sure to secure down any camping gear/tents/etc as the wind tends to howl through this area at night.
Fun camp sites on the water with boat rentals!
We always have a great time camping in new places and this little lake and campground were another one we tried: it was very beautiful and we were lucky to have a front spot to have more privacy. Negatives were the right camping spaces and the lake was so murky, swimming and fishing were not…
Arrived around 2pm to the Douglas Creek Trailhead. The 8 miles of road H to get to Douglas Creek Rec area is gravel, primitive -no signs. Hiked the canyon for ~3miles. Lots of groundhogs and birds. Campsites are roughly half mile from the parking lot for hiking. The gravel road here is much…

Beautiful lake, bald eagle flying overhead, geese and deer come in. Our site was facing large open grassy area leading to the lake. We were there late spring and during the week it was very uncrowned and the weather was chilly but clear.
If you can get a site on the beach here it's well worth the alarms you have to set on your phone to get them! The sites are smallish and a little weird shaped but you get direct access to the water. There is also a loop at the other end of the park that is more standard drive in sites. The water…

How awesome, a big grassy dog friendly place to park our rig with free Security. It was perfect, checked in when we arrived and handed them 10.00, them drove over to the lot and picked our spot. 👍🏼 it was quiet and safe.
