Great place

Great campground. It was very quiet. Sites had plenty of space between them. Great location. Even had WiFi. Not great WiFi but still. It was a nice place.

Dirty and Dusty

Though they are working really hard on cleaning up the grounds and buildings, it’s still really dirty and dusty. Our campsite had no less than 100 cigarette butts in it when we arrived. The lake access is choked with weeds and muck except in the designated swimming area which was clear. The manager…

Beautiful Place For Camping & Glamping

We have been to the Blue Lake Resort during June 2021. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. The breeze is welcoming& gentle enough to get fresh air. Very friendly staff, good walking, can get out onto calm rides on water, get some fresh water swimming, catch good…

Tranquil

Was amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was here. I had a smaller camp trailer that didn’t really fit but I was the only one there. The 5 spaces are designed for cars and tents. The lake was so tranquil and the lake cliffs were pretty magnificent to boat up against. All kinds of birds, waterfowl,…

Unexpected place

Great park with tons of room. No one is right on top of each other. One problem, no laundry facilities!

Primitive camping, good overnight stop, nice views

I stayed here one night in July 2021. The sites are in groups of four with one gravel/dirt parking spot for each campsite. Behind the parking spots are picnic tables, a tent area and a fire ring for each site. Generally the area is weedy, grassy or dry dirt/sand. Most sites have lake view / access,…

Poor service/attitude

We were disappointed with the cramped sites, but at least noonr was butted up to the end of our trailer until our last night. They need into our trailer trying to park in the small site. When we asked the office why they assigned such a large rig there with so many other empty sites, we were told…

Crescent Bar

We stayed here in July 2021 the pool and hot tub are open the club house is as well. There are 30 and 50 amp sites with sewer hook ups. It is blazing hot here in summer with little to no shade. Nice walking path to the river and to the resort community near by. It is about 10 miles from Quincy Wa.…

Be Warned

We went on the 4th of July weekend. The campground was crowded with families but also groups of adults. The families were great but the adult groups not so much. There is no host to monitor people so there were folks running their generators all night and others were up partying until 2 in the…

Dirt roads and no tp

The location is a long haul on a dirt road to the campground. Rig was covered in dust by arrival. First 10 minutes we found the worst part of this location. Right next to a very busy railroad and there is no railroad crossing and the trains blare the horn at least 6xs while passing… 2 to 3 times an…

Nice campground

We stayed a couple of nights at Smokiam in one of the hot tub sites. It is a very well cared for campground with employees constantly buzzing around on golf carts to be sure there is no litter. Soap Lake is interesting with a very soft muddy bottom on the CG side of the lake.

  • D01 is a bit like sitting in a fishbowl. Would recommend choosing another hot tub site.
  • Soap Lake is muddy-bottomed on the north end, but good for SUP toward the cliffs!

Convenient but Crowded

This was our first visit to an RV “resort” and it wasn’t horrible. MarDon has lots of nice amenities but boy is it crowded. If you don’t mind crowds and like the convenience of resort camping MarDon is a good choice.

(Disclaimer: I prefer boondocking and getting as far away from people as…

Welcome to the Wild West - Beautiful but Busy

At first glance, Cow Lake is a beautiful and secluded oasis tucked away in the scablands of Eastern Washington.

However, the area is a very popular local fishing and recreation spot and gets crowded on the weekends.

Cow Lake is about 10 miles east of Ritzville and is a free, dispersed camping…
