At first glance, Cow Lake is a beautiful and secluded oasis tucked away in the scablands of Eastern Washington.
However, the area is a very popular local fishing and recreation spot and gets crowded on the weekends.
Cow Lake is about 10 miles east of Ritzville and is a free, dispersed camping…

We went during Memorial day weekend which is a very busy camping weekend. It's a cool spot and the drive there is beautiful. It's the only campground in the general area meaning it's the only bathroom nearby. I'm sure the experience would be different if it wasn't a busy weekend. The entire time…
Not worth spending your money here!!!! The bathrooms are disgusting and the site you pay for my don’t come with the amenities that you thought you were paying for because the camping site says one thing but willam can jut change the rules because he can I guess!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE
I really liked this campground. I wish we could stay longer than 14 days out of 45, but that's the rules. There is no camp host but maintenance is there daily to tend to the grounds. It is a well kept place I can say that. The only complaint I have is that the sprinklers go on in the middle of the…
Nice campground but very desert-ie right so hot in the summer but on the river though so if you have a boat its great.
Free camping a large area for 4x4's, sxs, motorcycles and atvs.
Dunes are Very busy in the spring and summer. shade can be hard to find.
Great place to take the family
This is a great mostly unknown little campground. Fun fact: This is the least used campsite maintained by the Lower Granite Natural Resources Management team.
Let’s get to the bad/good, depending on how you look at it.
1. There is NO running water available, unless you want to get some from…

Love this campground and will come back. My husband and I usually pull our ‘68 Aristocrat Lo-Liner but on this trip we were “roughing it” with a tent and a small SUV. I was happy that not only did we get a spot on the river, but there were free, clean hot showers centrally located. The back in…

The campground has only has 5 sites, but we were the only campers. We camped the first week of June, so days were warm and it got cool enough at night to sit close the campfire. There are plenty of logging trails to hike within walking distance, and more a short drive away. The drive to Midway is…

We used to frequent this park quite often. It is a tiny forest tucked away along the river.... when I say tiny, I mean fairy like.
You can easily set up a tent and float along the river's edge. There are a few little coves that are nice for kids to play in and great to stay out of the river…
The campground is beautiful! Wish the US Corps of Engineers would make the season longer. Sewer is not available but they do have a dump station. RV sites have a crazy amount of space between them - so awesome to not have to look into your neighbors RV. We had a short walk to the shore with our…
We camped here May 2016. This park we tried the tent only site and it was a bit of a walk to haul all of our stuff. The trees were in bloom and bugs hatching & swarming, so that was a huge hurdle. Fishing was great off of the docks. Showers were nice, although not located in the tent part of…
