Great first visit

The campground was full, but was surprisingly quiet. Clean comfort stations and grounds. It was a bit odd that there was only one water fill station, and two oddly placed dump stations, but we were not in a hurry so waiting was not a concern. Our site, 315, was listed as having a slight grade. …

Wow, what a great park

Wish we had booked more nights; we only stayed for one night in our 17' travel trailer with full hook-ups. Clean bathroom with shower was a bit far from our site but the layout of the campground made the walk pleasant. Sites well spaced. Wish we had bicycles to ride on trails and to the beach (bike…

Nashville of the North- Hippie Living Fair

So many legends have been on the stage at Buck Lake Ranch including Dolly Parton! This campground is great for music lovers as they have live shows on some weekends and a huge festival in September where we chose to camp on the bowl and had a great time. There are mature trees around the area and a…

Fantastic spot

This place was fantastic.. we arrived late to find an envelope with our name on it with all of our info inside.. the site was perfect with everything we would need already there.. chairs, table, and even a propane grill! Highly recommend this for a stop over or extended stay. There are lakes all…

Nice quiet place

Tried it for the first time. It was quiet and relaxing. The camp host was nice and friendly. Kids loved having the playground so close to the camper. Will be back soon.

Great family camping

Lots of fun activities for the kids, hayrides, slip and slide, playground and a whole rustic area to explore while you search for leprechauns. Lots of fun for the kiddos and very friendly people.

Trees, bike trails and camping

This camp ground site was well used but we came in late and were able to grab a spot. Luckily we visited off season. I bet this campground is very popular in the summer time. Highly recommend. We camped at 301 and there were vaulted toilets by the site.

Great Visit / Great Park

We spent this past week at Hogback Lake KOA. It is late in the season so much of the park was closed for the season, but we had a great year round site. A little bit of road noise, but water, electric, sewer, cable TV all worked great. We have family in the area and had a great visit. We will…

A Hidden Gem

This is a small campground no question! That being said we had one of our best camping experiences. Our site was right along the Maumee River and our view was just breathtaking. We watching the seagulls play and catch food while great blue herons skimmed that water and fisherman were out fly…

Spacious sites with biking and walking trails

We love camping here.  Every site is spacious and most have a full natural barrier that separates sites.  There are some full hookups, but all have electric.   Bring your bikes and walking shoes.  The paved biking and walking trails are well cared for.  There is also a beach at the state park. The…

Weekenders that felt alienated

I thought I’d enjoy this place a little more because I’d heard from several people and they liked their experience. There are a lot on permanent sites and we just felt a little out of place because we are “weekenders.” I would have rated this place a one star had we not rented a golf cart. Our site…

Love everything this park has to offer

Campground was full this weekend with perfect weather. I will say every time we have camped here it’s always a quiet park. They only thing I dislike is the line at the dump station when leaving blocks the whole road and takes forever.

The trails are really nice and the boardwalk trail over by…

Very poor. Not what we expected from a KOA.

We arrived about 5:30pm. Hooked up and planned to relax. Power went off and on 5-6 times in an hour. Surge suppressor was normal. No TV, plugs, microwave, etc... Tried to call and let somebody know but the mailbox was full. Had to walk to the office to find Fred's number. Left him a message and he…
