    Stay n Go RV Resort

    Horrible! Not family friendly as advertised

    Found this stop searching for a quick location on the way back home to S FL.  The only positive is that there was online check-in.  The website did not list their rules that pertained to children.  Once we arrived the camp host was very rude.  She informed us the kids couldn't use scooters (actually not in the written rules, bikes and skateboards were listed but nothing else) and that we couldn't watch them from our camper.  The door and the window was opened. They were on our site.  They never left our view.  It was dark and we drove several hours and were setting up.  Honestly they probably had closer supervision then they did when we were hooking up.  The photos of the place also show a pool.  Theres no pool.  It is extremely dark, theres no lights anywhere.  The website states its secure and gated.  There is a gate but it was opened.  I didnt have high expectations but I also expected what I paid for.  It was also extremely over priced and the only reason we stopped was to get the kids out to run around, and we were unable to do that.  There are other places that do not allow children if this place doesnt want children it should be on their web page and if theres rules that pertain to children those should be presented prior to payment rendered.  At that point I had no choice but to agree or not pay, and honestly we didnt even break the rules yet were told we were.

    Little Talbot Island State Park Campground

    Already planning to return, but a couple of catches

    I stayed here six nights and already planning to book again for next year. Incredibly friendly staff, lovely beach, pretty salt marsh and because there isn't much else to do, doesn't get overrun by kids or idiots. Clean bathrooms.

    The campground is across a busy street from the park/beach, you must check in before office closes on arrival date, but then you get a gate code for 24 hour access- including beach permission, which is exclusive to campers after hours.

    There's no crosswalk and it's about a 15 minute walk to the beach, if you want to be closer to the ocean or have limited mobility, Ft. Clinch to the north is a better bet. There are also like four parks in between that are dog friendly.

    All sites are close to bathrooms. The ones by the marsh have nice sunset views. The ADA lots are paved concrete, others are gravel.

    Contrary to the Dyrt listing, cell service isn't great. I had no Verizon and, based on this listing, bought an ATT SIM, which got me two LTE bars and once in a while one 5G. Enough to browse a little, but not work or streaming.

    Blue Hole Campground — Florida Caverns State Park

    Quick overnight

    We were making our way back from the Midwest to Sarasota and stayed overnight. We didn’t have time to explore, but from what we saw, there is a lot to do in the campground! The Blue Hole campground was great - only 32 sites and each site is spacious. We can’t wait to go back for a longer stay!

    Preservation Point RV Resort

    Peaceful Stay with Easy Hookups and Beautiful Setting

    I visited Preservation Point in June and really enjoyed the stay. The property is a quiet with a lot of open space and natural scenery. The RV sites were clean, brand new, level, and easy to get set up on. The hookups were simple, and everything felt well laid out with plenty of room for the RV. Gail was very helpful and welcoming, which made the whole experience easy from the start. There is plenty of room to relax, enjoy the wildlife, and take in the natural setting. It is also a nice location for exploring nearby Inverness, the Withlacoochee State Trail, and other Central Florida spots. You can tell the park is still growing, but the foundation is excellent. For anyone looking for a clean, quiet, RV-only place with easy hookups and a peaceful setting, Preservation Point is definitely worth considering.

    Amazing campground, so much to do

    We loved this campground! The sites are beautiful, with lots of vegetation. There are a ton of hiking trails and opportunities to get on the water. The town of Sopchoppy is a short drive and they have a brew pub with great pizza!

    St Lucie South

    Quiet and peaceful

    I enjoyed a 4-day stay at this campsite. I ended up staying longer than expected, so I used 3 different sites, and there are only about 10 to choose from.

    The campground was quiet and pleasant my entire stay. I'd prefer to have a sewer hookup but the dump station is just on the way out. Facilities and dumpster just a minute walk away. Boat ramp and pavilions near the water. Plus, every site has a covered picnic table. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this place, but there isn't a ton to do unless you venture out, depending on your preferences.
