Quiet relaxing spot

This was such a nice relaxing place to stay. We met a park interpreter who was very nice and informative.  We stayed in a small tent camping area beside one of the lakes.  The hiking trail was beautiful and we saw several woodpeckers!

Excellent!

This Arkansas state park is top notch. It offers a very quiet, immaculate campground with only 17 sites for RV hook ups. There are additional camping areas for tents, although one is closed for repairs. The Bear Creek lake surrounds the RV camping area on all three sides. There is fishing, small…

Nice, small state park and campground on the river

The campground is nice and well maintained and sites are fairly well spaced with lots of grass, trees and open areas. The park staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in site 4 for 3 days. All of the sites looked quite level. There are quite a few depressions around the campground that filled…

Awesome!

This is a great campground. The campsites are all good size, so you don’t feel like you are on top each other. There is also plenty of shade. We stay in D loop. And my husband and his family had been going there since he was young. So we decided to carry on the tradition.

Arkansas Gem

Jacksonport has grown since we tent camped here years ago. Great new Visitors Center, still love the museum (it is closed right now because of COVID), the beach is pretty, but we miss the old Paddlewheel. Nice level sites and shaded.

Very nice and clean

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in early September. We had a pull through site in loop N that was perfect for our 41’ fifth wheel...plenty big, clean, and level. It was a little sunny, but other than that no complaints. The other loops were more wooded, but wouldn’t be good for big rigs. We…

Camping on the Little Red River

Really enjoyed the cool temperatures by the river in the heat of the summer. We had a great site by the river!

Great location if you have the right site!

The lake is large enough to get out and enjoy on a busy weekend and not feel overcrowded. Boat ramps get a little busy on the day use side, but with 3-4 lanes it usually moves pretty quick.

You have a wide range of sites to choose from. The newer sites have more space around them, water at…

Right on the Little Red River

Situated on the Little Red River well known for trout fishing. Some sites have electricity and water, ours electricity only. Great clean COE park.

Awesome, intimate lakeside campground

Mississippi River State Park is in Marianna, AR and was built in 2008 in the St. Francis National Forest. The park office and convention center are beautiful and have several learning stations and activities for kids and families. There is also a simple paved walking trail with identification…

Nice place, not my cup of tea

Campsites were very nice but a little closely stacked. Very steep decline to the waters edge. No mosquitoes which is half a point itself.

I could live here!

The location of this campground is incredible! So incredible, that I am trying to figure out a way to go every weekend! I am a river girl, so this is my heaven. The campground is broken up into different sections. The front sections A, B & C are closer to the river and have better river views.…

Great location on Greers Ferry

Dam Site is a nice campground on Greers Ferry Lake. The location is perfect for enjoying the lake, the Little Red River and all the other outdoor adventures that Heber Springs has to offer. We like winter camping, but it appears that they close off most sections of the park during the colder…
