I've car camped a few other places since my first time camping here last year. Nothing compares. Sites on the cliff side are hard to get but I came up here on June 1 and many sites were open. I guess everyone who came up for Memorial Day weekend had already left. I was lucky enough to get site 35.…

This campground is free to stay in max of 14days, it’s so quiet and the views are spectacular, not far from the lake if you have a car but too far to walk.
Knoll lake campground is very clean and well kept. Designated areas for tents that were raked up. The bathrooms were cleaner than most restaurants.
It was somewhat busy, but still quiet. You can faintly hear a train at night. I felt safe in my rooftop tent, but did hear coyotes around midnight. The view was pretty.
The camp hosts Chris and Jerry are wonderful. The camp was very clean and well managed. Each camp was like a little zen garden. Manicured very well and organized. The community toilets even smelled good!
We always enjoy this campground. All the loops were closed but the Mallard loop. Going through some renovations on the others. We had freezing temps overnight but the days were perfect. A bit windy but bearable. No fish or even any bites.

This is a great state campground. Not a lot of sites but they're REALLY BIG and gives a sense of being in the forest but still has toilets nearby for those who need them. Great place for tent camping but most sites can support MH & Trailers.
Look for your overnight camp spot then go back to the entrance and pay for your site. The pay kiosk is at the stop sign at the entrance. No working showers.
Great setting on the lake. Hardworking helpful host team keeps the grounds and toilets immaculate. Lake is lovely. Early morning access before day use crowds come is great for quiet early morning kayak or SUP use.
Great free area to camp. Spots go fast on the weekends. There were some campsites where people left trash which was disappointing. Pack it in and out!
Rocky & bumpy road, but beautiful views!

Absolutely loved it up here. Saw a group of elk, and paddle boarded on the reservoir! Lots of camp sites some big some small, highly recommed everyone experience this!
Nice open campsites - hosts on duty during open season. Can be Tricky to get out of mud when it rains. - Driveways can be Rocky and muddy. but overall a great place to camp. As expected, no Amenities. pack out what you bring in.
Such a Beautiful area! Pleanty of sites with fire pits and gorgeous views! We even had 3 wild horses come through camp one morning. Can get very windy right on the rim. So be firewise with choosing when not to build a fire!

For the cleanliness, this campground should get 5 stars. The people who work there clean the bathrooms throughout the day so they’re always nice. The camp spots are good sized and as private as they can be with being as close as they are. Overall, we were really impressed here!
