Rip Off.

Exspect to pay for any car you bring in this state park. This is a rip off park. We payed $45 for the camper truck and $25 for a car because it had az.lic. on a rental car. We could have stay at AVI for two nights at this price.

A slice of heaven

The entrance comes up quickly - a dirt road off the freeway and then a semi-steep right turn that leads up to the gate.

Drove in, passed a few spots near the entrance but went down the road 5 mins or so to see what else I could find, and found a nice place nestled back in there. I haven’t see…

Not sure what the other reviews are about....

But the place I ended up is just BLM land off the highway. There's a turn off the highway, super easy to miss, and it immediately goes up a hill. There's a gate at the top that just says "please close gate - Bureau of Land Management" so I just went in. The road is very smooth and well worn as of…

Nice place to stop and hike

So far so good. It is a nice stop no electricity, water, there is a outhouse. Hiking trails are good. For horses and bicycles. No issues and have been there for a few days.

Peaceful

Beautiful views and very peaceful. Excellent for star gazing! Lots of trails to explore with your off roading toys

Super quaint & nice!

After seeing the last review I was a little nervous, but we loved this place. We woke up to deer in our campsite and sat and watched them for a while and saw lots of woodpeckers, really lovely wildlife! There were lots of cute Christmas lights and decorations around which we loved. There were a…

Disgusting Cabins, Overcrwoded, Noisy, Not Safe, Trash Everywhere

Cabins are disgusting, park is overcrowded and noisy, trash everywhere, did not feel safe staying there, there are fire restrictions all months of the year even when there is snow on the ground. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are much nicer places just an hour away near Flagstaff.

The water is still refreshing because it's still hot as heck out there…..Ok…

Worth the trip!

Small town, big heart is what comes to mind when I think of Happy Trails. Extremely hospitable hosts, very welcoming, but will respect your space if you’re not feeling chatty. Free coffee in the mornings and clean bathrooms with a shower. I tent camped with 2 dogs, lots of space on the tent sites.…

Love this place!!

I was greeted promptly by Scarlet, the 12-year-old boss. So cute! A small family run diamond in the rough RV park was such a pleasant surprise. I stayed 5 nights and will be back next year. The Joshua trees are beautiful. It has a great location 45 minutes from the West rim grand Canyon. There are…

Area Amazing, Pioneer RV Park Not So Much

Gorgeous area set in mountains covered with mature pine trees and huge granite boulders just 10-minutes off I-40. The Pioneer RV Campground consists of about 10 sites terraced into a hilly area accessed via a steep, one-way but well maintained road. The sites were way too close together for…

Better than expected

Stopped here on a drive through I-40 and was pleasantly surprised. It definitely seems like a family zone, but I like how the sites are a little more spread out than a KOA.

The little road through the camp winds along the side of the mountain with lots of unique-looking spots. I honestly probably…
