Away from everything

It is an easy thirty or forty minutes to a gas station so fill up when you see the Circle K and Chevron next to each other if coming from Yuma.  If coming from the north Quartzsite is probably your last chance for gas.  It is in the middle of nothing and nowhere, a little oasis with little to no…

Right on the River

A lovely county campground and picnic area on the Colorado. Dry sites are closest to the water. Super clear restrooms and showers. Dry sites have picnic tables, BBQ grills, but no fire pit. Lots of green grass. Large open grassy area with day picnic sites. RV sites are separated from dry sites.…

Amazing River

We always love to camp here but we’re disappointed at how poorly they maintained the grounds. The grass was all dead. The plus to it though was the river is within walking distance and there is a boat ramp within the campground. You have to setup early to get a spot down at the beach area. Each…

One of the best State Parks

River Island is one of the nicest state parks I have been to.  All of the facilities are extremely well kept with immaculate bathrooms and an awesome dog park!  There is a boat launch and an area where ever the dogs can cool off in the lake.  In addition to enjoying the lake, there is an MTB Trail…

Hospitality on the river

Walter's Camp is a great launch point up the Colorado River. I don't own a boat but if I did this would be a regular spot. The drive in is a couple miles on dirt road. Take it slow if you have to but chances are you can get there just fine! You may get some excitement from other guests enjoying the…

Beautiful and remote

Once you leave I-8 it’s about 35-55 minutes back to major services. I hear Fischer’s Landing has a new convenience store. The office has beer, soft drinks and a few choices of hard stuff. The RV pads are cement and level. Our rig is 24 feet and we fit very well on the pad. This is a military…

Great public campground

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and great camp site. Sanitation area gives it a bad smell when the wind hits it right but otherwise no complaints

Leave city life behind.

Come slow things down at this wonderfully secluded campground. About 6 miles off the main highway down a rough dirt road lies this hidden gem. Whether you’ve got a boat to launch, a travel trailer, or a good ol’ fashion tent, you’re welcome here! Located right on the beautiful Colorado River! Heads…

Right on the Colorado River

Easy in and out off the 10 freeway, large rv friendly, river spots back up to a grassy area on the river, cabin and RV rentals available, laundry room, clean facilities and friendly staff. Right on the California/ AZ border, close to Blythe for groceries and restaurants. Great place for off road…

Nice park by the Colorado River

Price was good, only 27.00 for electric/water. Only 3 of the many bathrooms had showers. Shower was hot & free. Nice staff. Places to swim & boat ramp. Beautiful trees & green lawns. Neighbor stated that the water wasn’t good, but I didn’t see any evidence of that. There is a bar &…

Nice family spot.

Lots of flying bugs 30 min before and after sunrise and set but they all go away. Not many camping spots but close to water and clean restroom with hot showers. Boat launch, lots of RV parking dog friendly with a dog park. Get good water shoes or your feet will be cut up from river rocks that are…

The price is right!

Very nice spot on the California side of the Colorado river. No hookups, but nice tables & gravel lots. If you have your lifetime passport for American parks it’s only 2.50 a night! Can’t beat that! I loved the river and watching the duck, roadrunners, and quail. I didn’t however see any…

Great for what it is

This was an unexpected one-nighter and we lucked out with a water-front site! Don't expect a lot - it's a parking lot more or less - but it gets the job done and it's better than others out there even though its a bit pricy.

We showed up on Xmas day so the manager was nice enough to call and…
