Loud from Interstate 25

Very clean showers & restrooms. Traffic noise is bad from the traffic on I-25.

Creekside surprise

South Fork was perhaps the most pleasant surprise I’ve ever had as I pulled into a campground. Beautiful creek, clean, spatially distanced sites, tall Ponderosa pines at each site. USFS had invested great thought and resources into this campsite. Water and firewood available. Host has done this…

Clean living

The entrance is next to a restaurant, just off the interstate. The whole park is super clean. Check-in, the store, laundromat and bathrooms are all in the one building. The bathroom is a little dated and the showers small (see video) There is a little road noise, but it didn't bother…

  • everything is in this building
  • nice tree shaded sites

Best kept secret!

Crazy Woman Canyon Road starts high on an open hilltop and then descends deep into a lush and beautiful canyon. The road follows the river with large boulders stacked upon each other to make up the canyon walls. This canyon worth exploring! If you go at the right time, you may even see some…

Camping and Beer near climbing? Sign me up!

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday in July of 2018 while on a climbing trip. The brewery offered dispersed tent camping on their spacious front lawn for $5/night and, given the number of vans present in the parking lot, I'd imagine they offered van camping at the same price. As far as standard…

Wyoming diamond

Buffalo Creek Campground is a couple miles down the road from Graves Spring Campground. They both boast the same amenities (fire pits, picnic tables, trash, restroom, creek access, and wildlife). However, Buffalo Creek has half the sites- so, it is more intimate. There is great fishing within 11…

Gorgeous! Well maintained! Free!

Grave springs boasts over 10 sites with picnic tables, fire pits, restrooms, and trash. The scenery is unbelievable. Dark sky's at night reveal the milky way. Wildlife include fox, racoons, squirrels, skunk, elk, deer and fish! The creek runs through the campground. Close by are amazing scramble…

Beyond stoked to have found this spot. Amazing dispersed camping. Was out in the first week of October and that’s all they allowed. Was able to have a nice fire and camp right next to a beautiful creek. The hikes and views around are unbelievable, totally worth the drive.

Great little mom and pop

Nice campground very close to I-90. It's clean and skoolie friendly. Would give a five except for closeness to I-90 and the showers are small for modern americans.

Spacious sites. Stayed in off season so no services, but no cost either. Had a moose walk right through our camp and go down to the lake.

Great place for gravel and mountain bikers to explore!

There are a ton of gravel and off-road opportunities for bikers. Pay attention to the trails rules because some trails do not allow bikers, so obey the trail rules. Some of the off-road trails are also shared by horses so be respectful of space. I met some friendly riders during my exploration…

Nice National Forest Campground

I’m giving this 5 stars but my review still comes with a warning. Campsite #9 is next to the outhouse and you can definitely smell it when the wind blows or if it is getting heavy use. That being said, you are camping in the high country. I used my campsite to day hike trail #63 to Lake Helen and…

Great overnight stay

Great place to overnight in Buffalo. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean grounds, didn’t use any other facilities. Close to road so traffic might bother some—didn’t us.
