Easy access

Easy access, close to rest stop, tucked off next to highway but relatively quiet.

Amazing Rock Formations

Vedauwoo is easily accessible off I80. Many sites to choose from of all different sizes. But the best thing about this campground are the opportunities! Amazing rock formations, hiking, rock climbing for all skill levels. We came in on a early Sunday evening & had plenty of options. We will be…

Great dispersed camping

This spot was a very pleasant surprise and quite frankly didn’t think this part of Wyoming would be so pretty! The sites are very well spaced so once you’re parked, you feel completely alone. There was a decent amount of road traffic but that wasn’t bothersome to us. We found a lot of good…

Quaint Quiet Camp Ground

This camp ground seems so underrated. While it doesn’t boast views of the mountains as much as other places, it’s a great quiet place to get some lake time!

Sites are very easy to pull into/out of. We had electric hook ups. Camp sites are not super level, but there is plenty of space.

The lake…

Rocks and stuff

Legit spot if you are into climbing or not! Campsites are very spacious; at least the back in site that we had. Had a moose run through camp. Was a bit chilly and water wasn’t on yet, but I won’t mark it down for that. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely amazing

The staff were very kind and accommodating. Bbq on-site was delicious. Not too difficult to get on and off the main highway. All around a great experience

Convenient for dispersed camping

There's a ton of camping options out this road - free but must be in marked sites. Good access to trails and climbing, some trees nearby and lots of cool rock formations.

No toilets or running water, dirt roads to access were in very good condition. Some four wheelers driving laps were a little…

Now we know

Now we know why it's so hard to get a spot at this campground. Not only is the lake beautiful, the sites are well maintained, the bathrooms are clean, and the fishing is good!

Huge State Park

This was just an overnight stop, we were placed upon a hill top in the open right next to a reservable picnic shelter.  The wind wind was brutal, but it was a pretty view.  The amenities at the park are quite good, the visitor center was very nice and the showers and bathrooms were clean and very…

Spotless Overnighter

This is a KOA journey, meaning it’s great for a stopover, and it is located next to a horse farm. If you are used to smelling farm life, then the smell won’t be a problem. This KOA is also one with long term/monthly residents but I will say the office, laundry and bathrooms were absolutely…

Great camping May 1st

We arrived knowing rain and snow was in the forecast. It was a beautiful overcast evening when we arrived. What we didn’t expect was no map or directions on how to find our site. The visitor center was closed so there was no place to check in although reservations are needed starting May 1st. We…

Nice people, nice campground

I stayed at the campground for one night at the end of April, 2021. It was $20 for a tent site. It was raining heavily that day, and I was allowed to park at a RV site, so I can be close to the bathroom which is vey clean. Highly recommended place and very nice family business.

Late April - Crystal blue lakes

It snowed the night before our arrival, do the crystal blue lakes really stop out. The views were really good from most sites we could see. Of course, early in the season. There were only 2 other campers on this Thursday.
Pros: some electric sites, nice hiking, great fishing, kayaking/SUP,…

Fantastic! By the Creek.

We loved this sight, we were the only people there. The National Forest staff came down and said hi. They were very kind. There are places to play by the creek, and it's absolutely beautiful.
