Extremely large State Park

I think I gave this park four stars out of low expectations. Middle of nowhere Guernsey Wyoming the state park wraps around a reservoir with beautiful rock formations. There are campgrounds scattered all over and around the campground. If you were in a big rig this is not the easiest place to camp……

Awesome place to visit

A wonderful place to tent camp. Very quiet area, and sites are usually secluded. Gorgeous views. The reservoir is not good for fishing, so we went to the nearby grayrocks reservoir and had luck there. Also, the water is freezing! We tried swimming. There was also a small wildfire while we were…

Showerhouse Closed!

Its a beautiful state park and I’m glad to have camped here during my travels around Wyoming. I stayed at Newell Bay as its first come first serve. The price for the park is $30 for 1 day and 1 night which is a bit expensive. My only complaint is that the showerhouse is closed! I wish it had stated…

Terrible terrible customer service

Very small dirty park located 15 ft away from rail road . Commercial Trains goes all night and day with loud horn. High voltage tower is right next to park .Dog poops are everywhere . Site 11&12 are between 2 residential ( broken fence, very threshed scene). $35 per night but for Passport…

Great hidden gem

Friend park was an absolute hidden gem. We only live about and hour away and had planned to camp in esterbrook. Well they were full and we saw a sign for Friend Park and figured, why not. I almost turned around because it was taking so long I thought I was lost. The road is very bumpy in spots.…

Reno Cove

Sits on top of a hill with mostly cedars on the perimeter. We only stayed one night, and it was a quiet one. Had a big group of wild turkey wander through the next morning! The campground was clean.

Owners are awesome

Bathroom and showers are super clean. Owners were helpful in recommending a place to eat and let us pick our spot. Enjoyed the cows who came up to visit.

Great place to stay

Great for big or little RVs, clean bathrooms and showers, very friendly staff. Highly recommend the facility.

Dusty Where did the water go??

Sandy Beach Willow campground one of the only two sites with power but no water. It was okay after we cleaned it up. Water was so far away we didn't bother. It could have been much better. Noise, overcrowded, and trash. Come on; people pick up after yourselves.

Ok overnight spot

Spot are just gravel and weeds but there is electric ...The park across the way is green and I’m sure great for families.

Could be a whole lot better

From the grumpy lady at the gate to the trashed campsite this could have been a bad experience but I didn’t let that get to me. Cleaned it all up and set my sites on a great weekend. Then the train came... and another one... all night long. At least there was water this time. All of the camper…

Not a Good Experience

By far the worst run state park we have visited in our 70k miles of RVing. The greeter at the front gate gave us no directions & no map. We wasted an hour looking for the elusive Bennett Hill campground. Finally got a park ranger in the phone and he directed us back to town. Once we finally…

Lake very low and train at night

We stayed at the Sandy Cove loop, site 142. The non-electric site was fine, a picnic table and fire circle. There’s a train that comes by and kept us up at night. Also the lake was super low, so not able to be enjoyed.

Broken Arrow at Glendo

Great access to the water, but very few trees, so very little shade/privacy.  windy in June and cottonwoods shedding like a snowstorm.
