    Miner's Canyon Dispersed

    Nice area for big rigs (we have a 36' motorhome), but crowded

    We generally like this area, because it's one of the few spots in northern Utah that can accommodate our 36' motorhome. The downsides are that the roads are really rutted, so take it very slow and make sure that your rig can make it into a spot and, most importantly, OUT of the spot. As mentioned in other reviews, there's broken glass and ammunition scattered over all of the campsites, but they're big, and every site has a view of the beautiful lake and surrounding mountains. It gets down into the low 30s at night during the spring, so be sure to be prepared for cold nights. It's late May when I'm writing this, and it's JUST NOW getting out of the 30s at night and into the 40s. Daytime temps are pretty mild during the spring, at 65-80 degrees every day. I recommend this spot if you don't mind being in what's basically a free RV park (with much better spacing - most spots are at least 20-30 feet apart), because it gets so busy here. Also, a Provo Sheriff's deputy knocked on everyone's door on our second day there to ask how long they'd/we'd been there, and then, after 12 days, we moved to another nearby spot up the road, and on our second day here, he knocked on our door again to ask questions about our stay. We're rule-followers, and he was very professional and nice, but if you don't like getting "the knock," this may not be the place for you, as he seems to go through the sites regularly. All in all, I'd recommend this place, as it's mostly peaceful, even being as busy as it is.

    Cedar Springs Campground

    Beautiful spot close to marina partiers

    Space 7 FF . $41 a night we had park pass so paid half. Dry camping but spigots throughout. We are in a pull behind cannot report on bathrooms.
    We lucked out as this spot was reserved when we pulled up but occupants gone and reservation dates crossed out.
    Camps spots here are very nicely spaced seems each spot had plenty of spave for kids pets to roam without intruding others.
    level for trailers and tents. Though u have a view of gorge through breaks in trees the caveat is the party boats docked at marina down below. One boat owner was proudly show off their speakers. Maybe because it was memorial weekend but it was kind of a bummer to have our peaceful outdoor time ruined for two hours with very loud music. We aren’t in camp much as we like to explore but when we were at camp that was our experience. Other than that , after driving through a lot of the other camp grounds and dispersed camping this was our favorite. We had more trees, but didn’t block solar panels, privacy, and because of pavement for pull thru we won’t have any problems leaving as the dispersed camping roads were filled with tire ruts and I think people left early because of yesterdays rain (5/24). Camp host nice. Wood $10 a stack Marina with store nearby Hiking trails in area I think this campground is the closest to the dam. I would stay here again in this site. it was close to bathroom and spigot but very little traffic.
    It does have fire ring and picnic table There is a rocky trail down to water near marina area but the last 20 feet or so is a scramble so I wouldn’t carry chairs and drinks unless your a goat or confident in your bouldering skills.
    5 stars campground 4 for noise but not campgrounds fault

    Rooftop camping

    We stayed for 1 night in a rooftop tent. They were relatively busy but spaced out campsites pretty well. The bathrooms and showers were clean, water was hot, washers and dryers worked well. Nice playground area for the kids, each campsite had a table, fire ring, and grill.

    Seven Mile RV Park

    Convenient campsite, no frills

    We dry camped with a roof top tent in the area closest to the highway. It was very windy which obviously is no one’s fault but there are no wind breaks here or in most of Moab for that matter. There are portapottys on site and picnic tables at each site but that’s it as far as amenities. We were only here for 1 night and it did the trick, it’s convenient to the highway and only a few minutes to Arches NP. The property manager for the evening was very friendly and checked on us again before she left for the night. Be prepared for road noise from the highway, as well as UTVs on the trail at the backside of the camp site. Our dry site was cheap, only $20 I believe.

    Zion White Bison Glamping & RV Resort

    Beautiful

    Lovely NEW campground with all the amenities you need and a reasonable commute to Zion. Has a shuttle bus that runs to the park so you don’t even need to drive. Setting is beautiful with large grassy spaces and level concrete pads.

    It was half empty on holiday Saturday but filled by dark. Gr8 emergency overnight. Clean bathrooms, bumpy road. Near bike and dinosaur tracks. Gr8 view of snow-capped mountains
