Off Season Camping

We came here to test out our new teardrop we bought from SLC. We wanted the electric hookup. We arrived during a snow storm, off season camping was first come first serve. We used the QR code to check in and pay. We were the only ones on the campground, so we took the campsite closest to the lake and the vault toilets (flush toilets were closed). The lake was beautiful and the campground was maintained nicely.

Cabin Camping

We planned to tent camp here, but our friends rented the cabin next to our site and couldn’t make it last minute. So we got the cabin! Great spot. Lake is cool and an easy walk down from the sites. Shade is at a premium, so we were very happy to get the cabin because it was crazy hot. Clean bathrooms with nice showers for rinsing off after splashing in the lake all day.

Beautiful spot

We had one night here on a road trip to southern CA. It was beautiful. Clean, quiet, well maintained. We were there on a weeknight in April so I can imagine it gets pretty busy in weekends and in warmer weather. It was 25 degrees overnight so we were grateful to have the electric hook up! Road was well maintained getting there and not too far off the interstate that it made for a good stop over! We will be back.

Good location for rockhounding

Stayed here when rockhounding. Work remotely so needed cell service and this place has good verizon LTE. Nice large sites, BBQ and campfire pit. Shaded picnic area. Super windy at night, not sure if it’s the time of year or the norm. Late october - winterized for the season so no potable water or flush toilets but there’s still vault toilets.

Nice facilities, well-maintained

Spent a night here. Nice facilities, with covered picnic tables at each RV spot, water, and most with electric. Nearby dump station. Some grass and green areas for dogs. Adequate shower facilities. Pretty scenery, and several miles away from the interstate so very quiet. There was an algae bloom that made lake hazardous, so we kept dogs away from the water.

Awesome spot.

Great place if you just want to get away. Had the whole lake to myself. Strong 30 mph winds.

Serene

This is a great spot on your way through or just for a weekend getaway. Each spot has a cover over the picnic table and most spots have a view of the lake. The spaces are pretty far apart and you have a decent amount of privacy.

There is a lot to do including camping swimming 🏊‍♀️ on the beaches, and water is warm. The campground ⛺️ is about 25 miles south of Nephi. Recreational opportunities include camping, 🛶 , swimming, fishing, and ATV/dirt bike 🏍 paths.

There is developed and primitive camping is available at Oasis and Painted Rocks campgrounds and at the beach areas. There is a lot to fish for including northern pike, walleye, yellow perch, wiper, and catfish year-round.

Great Weekend Getaway

Awesome first camp of the year. Booked as soon as the state parks opened back up. Place really gave that “middle of nowhere feel”, lake and surrounding area were beautiful. Campsites were simple and bathrooms were nice. Only issue we had was we accidentally booked a site without electric. Could’ve been more clear on website, but also likely a rookie mistake being our first camp in Utah

Super clean and lots of space

We loved camping here for a couple days. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed being a little more secluded in our site. Lots of green grass and the sites are great with a sunshade over the tables and great fire pits. We stayed in an trailer, but each site had a tent pad that is well taken care of.

Great for family reunion.

We stayed at the group site! The pavilion was wonderful. The grassy area around it was perfect for kids and grandparents. There is a bit of a hike to get to the water, and the group site is not set up for trailers, but we made due. Great place to fit 30 or so campers.

Nice get away

Great place to camp. Close to I-15 lots of fish in the lake. We stayed here with our boat and had lots of fun.

Close to boat ramp. With big campsites, tables, bathrooms, and fire pits.

Quiet, restful stay

Spent 3 days here. There were a few people here but it was so quiet. Took a nice walk down by the reservoir. Took a ride to Scipio out the "back" way (over the dam). I would stay here again.

Much nicer than beach camping

The campground is spacious, has showers, running water bathrooms, fire pits, cement pads and pavilions. Great place to camp- much better than being on the beach- due to the wind! Yuba beach is always windy and the oasis campground gives some reprieve

Yuba Lake shore

It was pretty empty in the fall with nice leaf peeping. There are many trails, though they allow mountain bikes and ATVs, so watch out. Most people were fishing (jetskiing in summer). It’s a modern basic campgrounds with great showers. Many of the sites were along the water. Another couple said they visit frequently and it can get crazy windy, so you might want to make sure you have a decent tent (not a $30 one from the megamart). It sounds like it’s more touristy in the summer (the couple raved about fried oreos...?), but in the fall it was quite peaceful. I’d return on shoulder season but probably find somewhere else in summer, just my personal preference.
