A must if passing through

This RV park was such a great stop along our road trip. Our kids enjoyed their time at the playground and splash pad while I knocked out some laundry in their beautiful facility. Bathroom and showers were immaculate and such a nice bonus. Beautiful backdrop of the mountains. I highly recommend this place!!! Bonus: 10% discount for Dyrt members on top of already reasonable price.

Nice gem in quaint town

Stayed here for an overnight stay. What a gem! Well maintained and clean, pristine bathrooms, large sites with plenty of room between sites. Definitely will stay here when in the area. Only con was road and train noise.

Friendly, Convenient, and Beautiful!

Fantastic stay - the staff was amazing, warm, and friendly; the views were beautiful, and the layout felt spacious. Highly recommend this as a small town park - walking distance to a cute downtown - and day driving distance from San Rafael Swell and SLC!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RV PARK

Just an overnight stop for us but this newer RV park is really nice.  The campsites are all gravel but they were level.  Restrooms/showers were some of the best I've seen in an RV park.  The town of Helper is nearby and there were some really interesting storefronts on main street.  The price was reasonable (with a discount) but it was still creeping up on $50 a night.  If there was a negative it was during check-in I mentioned that I was a Dyrt Pro member and the young lady behind the counter told me we don't discount for that.  Instead she gave me their "first responder" discount.

Tranquil!

Beautiful RV Park!! Friendly service! Escorted to our Site# 201 which backed up to the Price River. Site was super level for us. Great space between neighbors on our side of the park. There is a picnic table. However, we took our chairs down to the river bank each evening. So tranquil and relaxing! Laundry room is nice and all machines were in working order. We did not use the restrooms but took a peek in and they are all clean and look new. Beautiful mountain scenery as well. AT&T, T-Mobile Cell Service were excellent. No issues with their WiFI. So many cable channels! If there was one Con, it was that the dog park/run area was muddy. Looks like they are watering the area to maybe get more grass to grow. However, there are plenty of other grassy spots with Dog Waste Stations and bags to walk your dog. Street traffic noise can be heard. We do have a white noise machine and it did not interrupt our sleep. Enjoyed our relaxing stay here! Highly recommend!

Nice site

This site is nice. It's not over the top in any way. It's right by the main road to get here and also by a train track. There is a river flowing by it with a small and short trail but that's about it. The wifi is great and the water pressure is great. The cable is also pretty good. The site we were in is narrow. Literally the size of our travel trailer but you get a decent area for hanging out under the awning and picnic table. There's enough to space to fit our truck between our RV and picnic table (for reference).

There is a splash area for the kids to beat the heat and a place to play horseshoe.

Well maintained, new park

We made last minute reservations on-line late in the day on a long trip. Although we arrived late a gentleman assisted us to find a spot and then later in the evening another person called to check up on us. Greatly appreciated this extra care. The park is new and well maintained. A river flows through the back of the park, with a walking trail and a small place to swim. There is a nice children’s play area with a water pad. Lots of places to walk a dog. Large pull through sites. Water and electric were perfect even in 100 degree weather. Individual bathrooms with a shower in each. The bathrooms were private and immaculately maintained. Wonderful laundry area. Big rig friendly with ample space and turning radius. Easy in and out with no issues.
Only issue was the length of the site. We choose a 70 foot site and our 60 ft rig barely fit. So FYI, when choosing a site, go big.

Beautiful Park

This place is new and they are still adding sites. Between high cliffs on the Price River. I was worried about the train noise…TOTALLY UNFOUNDED worries. I heard the train around 10 pm and then again in the morning. No close crossings so no whistle noise. Their water pressure is outstanding in fact they recommend a pressure regulator on the supply line. The park WiFi was beyond excellent. The staff were also beyond excellent. We got our propane tank filled then escorted to our site. As I said it’s on the Price River. The staff have made a mini park at waters edge. All in all a terrific park. Definitely recommend Castle Gate RV Park

Great Base Camp

We chose this area as a central location to Moab, Provo and SLC! Nice scenic drives to all of those places from camp and did not feel too far out. Campground was clean and well kept. Staff is very nice and helpful. It will be beautiful in a few years with the landscaping investment they have made. Plenty of individual showers. I recommend the ones at office building, they are bigger. Laundry facilities great. Huge plus is dish washing sink with hot water. It is always nice to not have to wash dishes in camper. Dog park, playground and splash pad. My only caution is that it is between Highway and railroad tracks so if you are noise sensitive be aware. We didn’t notice any major noise and slept very comfortably with the nice flowing River behind us. Helper is cute town to explore.

Great Place to stay

Stayed here a weekend to get in some mountain biking in nearby Price.  Everything in the park is immaculate, and very well maintained.  The staff was extraordinarily friendly, even inviting us to play some cornhole with them in the evening.  We backed up to the river, and our lot was very spacious.

Downtown Helper is just a short walk away.  Cute little area that looks like there is quite a bit of restoration/renovation underway.

In April, still a bit chilling in the evening/morning.  Warmed up nicely in the afternoon.

We found a new favorite place to avoid some of the Moab crowd.

Comfortable and reliable RV Park in Helper, UT

Newer RV Park with super friendly and helpful staff. The owner was on-site and very active. Good dude.
Sites are gravel but level. Sites are still under final construction and from what I saw, will back-up to the river. We stayed 2 nights and visited family in Price, UT. Due to COVID we did not use their Bathroom facilities.
We would stay again when we are passing through on US-6. Small world - we visited the Umpqua Lighthouse in OR and met a Tour Guide that had been the Camp Host at Castle Gate RV park! Like us, he liked the place!

Adorable Campground

Adorable new campground in the castle country area of Helper, UT. The campground was meticulously developed with the RV/Tent camper in mind. Plenty of room to stretch out. There is a really cool rail yard across the street where you can watch slow moving locomotives move railcars. There is a little splash zone for the kiddos and plenty of grassy areas. The WiFi actually extends throughout the campground thanks to access points all through the property. Clean, new and close to lake and the cute little downtown of Helper.

Very nice park

I travel in either a van or a fifth wheel and would be happy to bring with one to this lovely park! It has lovely amenities, nice spaces and quite the view. I think it’s new. The private restrooms are better than home! A nice big shower, toilet and sink, a chair, hooks and nicely lit. They have convenient lights over the door on the outside of the of the building. Red is occupied, green is available. The laundry facility is new, clean and comfy; it’s right off the office and mini store. Speaking of the office, the staff are kind and helpful. The grounds are spotless and a river runs next to the park. The only drawback could be the railroad tracks nearby, but I love trains and they went by slowly and infrequently.

Can't Wait to Come Back

We overnighted here on our way to Ridgway, CO but wish we had more time. This is a great little RV park. It is very well maintained, has spacious sites, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We didn't have a chance to spend any time in Helper, but it looked so cool driving through. Lots of old buildings and businesses that look like a blast from the past. Connectivity is great here on all carriers. The only thing I can ding this place for is road noise from the highway and train noise from the nearby line and yard. But, I like trains, so I can't complain too much. Otherwise, this is a fantastic little RV park and I look forward to the opportunity to come back and explore the area more.

Trains & Great Location

This is a great park to stay if you like less crowded areas but still want to be close enough to Moab & Arches that you can drive down for the day. We had a train watching back in spot and it was really fun for our little one to watch the trains going by! The sites are very nice and the staff was very friendly. The trains can get loud if you’re not used to hearing them and the sewer hookup is located at the back of the site which is a little different but works fine! And the WiFi is the best of any park we have been!

Great Views

This is a new park with great facilities. The RV pad surface is similar to road base and is easy to walk on compared to gravel (also easier on hoses, power cables, etc.). The staff was very friendly. The views are great and there is more shade than the average desert camp site because you are in the mouth of a canyon. There is a fairly river on one side of the park. There is a set of train tracks nearby so that may matter if you’re a light sleeper. I didn’t wake up to any trains so they may not go through at night.
