Fivemile Pass OHV, near Cedar Valley, Utah, is a spacious area that caters to those who love off-highway vehicle adventures. With ample room for camping and a variety of trails, it’s a popular spot for ATV enthusiasts and those looking to enjoy the great outdoors.

This location allows campfires and welcomes pets, making it a laid-back choice for families and friends. Visitors have noted the beautiful views and the convenience of being right off the highway, though some have mentioned that the noise from nearby traffic and military flyovers can be a bit distracting. One camper shared, “This spot is right off the highway and it’s huge! Ample camping for tons of people, lots of trails, and beautiful views.”

While there are no water hookups or electric hookups, the area does have pit toilets scattered throughout. Campers should come prepared, as there’s no drinking water available, and it’s essential to pack out what you bring in. The sandy ground is stable enough for tents and RVs, and many have found it a great spot for a free camping experience.

If you’re planning to visit, consider coming in the spring or fall to avoid the heat, as there’s little shade available. The trails are fantastic for riding, but be ready for a busy atmosphere on weekends. Whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay, Fivemile Pass OHV offers a unique camping experience for those ready to hit the trails.

Good spot, very accessible.

This spot is right off the highway and it’s huge! Ample camping for tons of people, lots of trails, and beautiful views. Only downside is the noise. Highway is nearby, army base is doing flyovers and it’s an atv hotspot but if you don’t mind that, it’s great. We had a nice time camping here :)

I wss lucky, no Atv's

Pretty silent night. One can hear the cars from the highway, but they are far enough. When I arrived around 8, there was one Atv crusing for another 15 minutes, but then silence for the whole night. Good spot and free! If you have line, there is bushes to attach it if you want to dry your clothes, or to hide when you pee. Ground is very sandy but stable enough to hold my campervan.

Nice and Easy Camping

This is our go to campground if we don’t want to drive too far from our house. We camp just about 1/2 mile from the south side of the 5 Mile Pass exit, there are dozens of flat places to put down a tent. Just know that there are no trees and it gets VERY hot in the daytime. There is no water to play in, but if you’re into SXS the trails are AWESOME!

Spring or Fall

Definitely a place to go if you have a Razor, Atv’s or dirt bikes. We typically go in spring or fall due to the heat and lack of shade.

Busy, get there early

Lots of places to do dispersed camping, but you might get annoyed with the noise of the ATVs. It didn’t bother us, but just be aware that there are a lot people riding around this area. We camped in Miner’s canyon which is right before the five mile pass area.

Great for OHV

Great for OHV. That’s about it. Not the best place to camp. You can stay for 14 days for free. Outhouses are spread throughout.

Good for free camping

Not much out here but you’ll likely see a hawk or a Golden Eagle. You will have to put up with crazy OHVers and drunk partiers in some spots but there are a lot of places to go with a few pit toilets spread about.

This is the desert and there is no water so come prepared. Please leave no trace and clean up after yourself.

Nice for riding

It’s nice fore riding but gets pretty busy on the weekends and obviously really dusty when the wind gets going and bring lots of water and lots of gas there isn’t a gas station for a bit.
