Meadow Hot Springs

The rough dirt roads leading to this dispersed camping area require high clearance vehicles and careful navigation around large potholes and ruts. Meadow Hot Springs sits on private property where the owner allows free camping by donation, creating an honor-system experience that relies on camper responsibility. The main parking area accommodates RVs up to 30 feet, though the bumpy access roads beyond this point make walking the final distance to the springs necessary for most visitors.

Three natural hot spring pools offer different temperatures, with the main pool maintaining around 100 degrees and hosting small fish populations. Chenoa E. notes "Mountains to the east and plains to the west" frame the setting, while cattle graze freely throughout the area. The springs draw both locals and travelers, creating a social atmosphere that varies significantly between weekdays and weekends. Evening hours typically bring larger crowds, with activity levels dropping off after 1 AM.

Road conditions deteriorate significantly after rain, making the already challenging access even more difficult. Several reviewers emphasize the importance of maintaining cleanliness, with Tam E. advising visitors to "leave with more trash than you came with." Donation boxes help support property maintenance and continued public access. Cell service provides two to three bars of LTE coverage for those needing connectivity.

The dispersed camping setup offers no designated sites, requiring campers to find level ground where they won't block access for others. Weekend visits tend to involve more noise and activity, while weekday stays provide a quieter experience. For those exploring the broader region, campgrounds around Meadow provide additional options with more structured amenities and services.

Many visitors reported an exceptional natural hot spring experience with three pools at perfect temperatures on generous private property available by donation. The peaceful meadow setting with roaming cows creates a unique atmosphere, though the bumpy access road and lack of facilities require preparation.

Okay Spot

This is a 50/50 spot; folks can be a problem. I recommend staying during the week or only for a few days. This is a popular spot for both locals and travelers alike, so expect folks and expect it to get crowded after work/school hours. The weekends are worse with folks messing around, being loud, shining flashlights in folks' vehicles, and partying till about 1am. Minus the occasional bad bunch and weekend folks, everyone else is generally respectful of others, kind, helpful, and just overall really outgoing.

Road Quality
Poor. The dirt roads in and around the hot springs are really bad. Massive potholes and ruts everywhere. You definitely need good clearance, a 4x4, or some mad skills. The entrance lot is tolerable compared to the rest of the roads leading to the hot springs, which are far worse. I imagine the roads are even worse when it rains; the ground can get soft. Be careful and watch the weather. The gravel road leading to the hot springs is in excellent condition; any vehicle can drive down it, but once you hit the last cattle guard into the hot springs area, slow down.

Site Quality
They’re okay. There aren't really sites, more like just parking somewhere where you aren't in the way of other people. There are some obvious dirt clearings, but you have to go through some rough dirt roads to get to them. It's definitely hard to find a good level spot here. I imagine the sites are even worse when it rains; the ground can get soft. Be careful and watch the weather.

View Quality
Good. Mountains to the east and plains to the west. Sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. The night sky is okay; the town is too close for a good view of the stars. Plenty of bird watching and cattle watching.

Noise Quality
Average. It's a popular spot; it does get busy, and there is traffic throughout the day. Everything usually does quiet down towards the evening and usually stays quiet into the mornings; there are just the sounds of birds in the morning. But the occasionally bad bunch can and will definitely make it noisy.

Internet Quality
Average. Two to three bars on LTE.

Meadow Hot springd

The road is extremely Bumpy. Once you get off the main dirt road. So, anything low profile is going to drag in some of the dips, but the hot spring itself is well worth it. If you can make it with three different temperatures, three different size pools. Nice people, just enjoyable Hot Springs. And as stated, take trash with you to keep it cleaner than you found it.

Will absolutely visit again

This private property is stunning, and an absolute hidden gem. The first lot is pretty easy to get to, and we were able to park our 30' bumper pull for two nights to enjoy the the natural hotspring and scenic veiw. I would not recommend you try to park any closer than we did to the springs with a rig, as the road beyond that is full of large potholes that would be very easy to get stuck in. But all of the pools are within walking distance and 100% both the trek.

Another review mentions taking more trash than you arrived with, and we definitely took that to heart. Fill a few bags before you leave, and if you're able to pay it forward consider donating in one of the drop boxes to keep this lovely space accessible and clean for everyone.

Peaceful

Absolutely worth it. Full moon, silent and serene. There weren’t too many people so I’m not sure if it’s always that way. But definitely worth checking out. Loved the roaming cows as well!

Super relaxing hot spring with a few other springs at decent temperatures. Road is bumpy and may be difficult for cars to get back to the main spring but you can always park and walk. Be sure not to leave any trash as this is private property owned by super nice people!

Meadow View Hot Spring UT

The road is well maintained. I drove my small 25’ RV down it easily. The spring is large enough to accommodate 20 people is. The main spring is right around a 100• comfortable enough that you are never too hot or too cold. It’s only about 5 miles of the main highway. It’s worth a stop.

Great spot

We didn’t camp overnight but we did visit the hot springs. Plan to have a self contained bathroom if you camp because there are no restrooms provided and little to no cover or privacy. Road is pretty bumpy!

A bath tub in the meadows - wonderful

There are 3 natural hot spring bath tubes on a private property in the meadows. Camping among the cows and having a bath in a natural hot tub while the sun is rising - it's a dream. There are a some camping spots around the springs and a sign that says "Enjoy and please donate" so the visit is by donation and not paying. The road to the hot tubs is very bumpy and mudy after a rain, better walk in. A very beautiful stop when you tired out from driving.
