East Tennessee is home to a part of the oldest mountain range in the world, the Great Smoky Mountains. At 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome towers as the highest point in Tennessee and the third highest point east of the Mississippi River. Make sure to say hi to the hardcore hikers, many people hiking the entire Appalachian Trail will stop at this unforgettable lookout. 


A clear day at the dome observatory provides views as far as 100 miles. But explorers camping in Tennessee should plan on hiking their way up to the point, the roadway that leads to the observatory closes during inclement weather and from Dec. 1 to March 31 every year. 


If you’re camping with the kids and they’re looking for more occupation than your campsite offers, many of the natural attractions in Tennessee are also family friendly. Lookout Mountain is only minutes from Chattanooga and offers several world-famous sites like Rock City and the See Seven States point.

If you are looking for the next level up in a camping experience that allows for you to TRULY unplug, unwind and recenter, The Equilibrium Escape is your next booking. This is an exclusive site that books only 15 nights a month and when you are here, you are the ONLY campers. You have a private span of nearly 8 acres.

Please also note that your camp is actually on our Farm, therefore why we affectionately refer to it as 'The Farmers Forest'. We are true Farm to Table Cultivators that offer more than a point of sale or just production. We enjoy educating those who really want to learn how to manage livestock, compost, Forage for edibles and also have proper infrastructure. Private tours include a hike through the farm, meet and greets with our Animals with being informed of the care & husbandry of each stock and feel free to bring your camera, the Farmer here happens to be pretty good with photography. The memories from the Full experience of the Farmpsite you will not only enjoy, but also gain more practical knowledge to carry with you into the future. Please note, you're in the country. So cell service can be very spotty. US Cellular works great, AT&T and Teen Mobile sometimes can be 50/50.....Verizon will just plain not impress you.

Our primitive tent camping sites are located near the back of the property. They are an excellent option for individuals or groups who want to enjoy all the amenities of Camp LeConte but with a bit more of an authentic camping experience rolled in.

The Primitive Sites include areas for tents, but do not include individual electrical service or water. There are water faucets nearby and electric outlets at the Pavilion. Each site does have a fire ring with a grill and a small picnic table.Of course, all the other areas of Camp LeConte are available, such as the climate-controlled bathhouse, salt-water pool, and general store. The Primitive tent sites are just perfect for a small family gathering, a couple's’ getaway, or the solo traveler.

The campsite is private, but still close enough for daily excursions to downtown Knoxville, Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. Fresh beef, and eggs available for purchase. Firewood bundles for sale onsite.  Purchase extras online, or on-site. 
Campsite includes: Hot water shower, Coleman cooler, Queen size bed (Bedding included),  bug spray, Battery lantern, buddy heater during winter, charcoal grill, propane grill, fire pit, spatula for grilling, and 2 smores sticks.

Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

This is a  secluded site  -  HALFWAY to the end of the road  (just over 1/10th mile from lower parking lot)  Situated on the side of a creek    it is peaceful and you are right on the edge of our RC trails which can be used for  hiking 
Upon your arrival we will load your belongings in the side by side and take your belongings up to the site (we will return on day of checkout to pick them up)    
A spacious cabin tent with a queen size bed and memory foam mattress . All you need is your sleeping bags or bedding.

If more than 2, theres a 6 man tent available to accommodate which you can set up where you want.  There are cots available for cabin tent. Please let us know when you make your reservation if you need so we can set aside for you (they are listed under extras).

There is a picnic table and firepit/grill on campsite and a loo with popup privacy tent    We also have HOT shower facilities on the property for your convenience. There is a heater in the cabin tent for those chilly nights (Heater provided from Oct 1st thru Apr 1st). Cabin tent is winterized with a rug on floor and insulated rain fly for warmth. Heater takes off that chill.

WE HAVE A NEW HOT SHOWER AVAiLABLE TO OUR CAMPERS  So after a day of hiking you can rinse off the day with a nice hot shower.

A spacious cabin tent with a queen size bed. All you need is your sleeping bags or bedding.

There is a heater in the cabin tent for those chilly nights. (Oct 1st to April 1st)   Cabin tent is winterized with a rug on floor and insulated rain fly for warmth.  Heater will take the chill off.
 
We are a family-friendly property. You are on an edge of the remote control krawling trails and disc golf course on the property  

Sit and relax in your own piece of seclusion or hike around the property and enjoy.  We back up to the Foothills Parkway of the GSMNP.

We are located in Wears Valley Tn with quaint antique stores, Alwine Pottery, food and distilleries and wine tasting.

We are approx a mile and half from the Wears Valley Entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park,

We are approx 2 miles from the entrance to the Foothills Parkway with all of it's breathtaking views.

We are 5 miles from Townsend Tn (quiet side of Smokies) Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Caverns, River rafting, River tubing, Fishing, hiking, horseback riding, etc.

We are 8 miles from Pigeon Forge TN with all of the attractions one could want - rides, eateries, dinner theatres, Dollywood, etc.

We are approx 15 miles from Gatlinburg.

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Other Things to Note:
Park in our parking lot. We will take you and your belongings up to the campsite. Our office for checkin closes at 6 pm so if you are arriving later than 6 pm pm please check with us. We will accommodate you if at all possible.  Taking you to your site in daylight is better as then you can see your surroundings in daylight.

Help yourself to water near the pump house - We provide a 5 gallon water cooler - please let us know  if you want one so we can have available for your arrival  Bring your creek shoes and bug spray.

Stay aware and admire the wildlife  NO feeding the wildlife.  We live in the Black Bears natural habitat 
 
Be considerate of the neighbors and please no loud music or rowdiness.

Please let us know if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable or enjoyable  No outside firewood is to be brought into the campsite  We will have one bundle of wood at each campsite. Campers may also collect dead and down wood found in the nearby woods for campfires and kindling.  Bundles will be for sale on site. We will follow Tennessee Fire guidelines. If local firehouses say no open fires there will be no open fires allowed

The Ridge Outdoor Resort

Located in Top of the World community adjacent to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Foothills Parkway. 30 and 50 amp RV electrical service. No water on site but mountain spring nearby. No septic or sewer on site but available at Look Rock campground nearby. Private lake available to guests and perfect for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking - no gas motorized boats allowed.



Top of the World 

Enjoy your own private penninsula campsite, just a few steps away from the shoreline. This campsite is secluded on a gravel road, many miles off the highway, but is close enough for daily excursions to Dollywood, Gatlinburg, or the Great Smoky Mountains national park. This campsite is surrounded on 3 sides by water, with the land border being fenced and gated.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware that you will be camping in nature. There will be bugs, plants, and animals. Be prepared! If you are just looking for a cheap bed close to Dollywood, and are not prepared for a camping experience, please do not book our campsite. 

You are able to drive right up to the campsite. It is very tight at the end, requiring about a 5-point turnaround for most vehicles. 

Close the gate to the campsite and leave all your worries behind. There is a lock on the gate leading to the campsite, allowing you to control road access to the campsite. 

Bring your own towels and linens, as there is not a cleaning service (or cleaning charge). If you would like to rent linens, there are some available for an extra charge. 

Don't be afraid of the fishermen! We have world class fishing along our shoreline, and it is not uncommon to see and hear activity from the surrounding lake. Boats will also drop anchor to enjoy the coves around our property.

Remember that sound travels on the water! Please be considerate. 

Get out and explore the lake. Make sure to pass by the lighthouse on Goat Island!
