Quiet park

We had a little bit of a rough start here with the reservation. But all of that was forgotten once we arrived. The place was not even close to capacity while we were there, and they kept us all spaced very well. In fact, we couldn't even see another camper from our porch side. The place was well kept and beautiful!

Best for my Time

Steve and Chris was there when we checked in. Steve helped my 80 year old husband unloaded our car and unhook the dolly. Chris told me about the park and what was available there and best places to eat. Steve showed me my RV spot and helped me park and level our RV. The bathrooms/ showers are neat and clean and have a security code to enter to use. The RV park is easy to find and is well kept and clean. Trash is picked up at each spot daily. There is a doggy park, swimming pool and hot tub. Denise and Barb also work there too and very nice. When we got to leave they helped us to hook up. We will be back because we really enjoyed it.

Great resort at Great Smokey MTS

Awesome RV resort. Had a river stream right out the front door. Clean, quiet, heated pool, and close to downtown and Sugarland gate. Definitely recommend.

Clean, Convenient and Super-Friendly.

We really enjoyed staying here. The facility was very well kept and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Downtown parking is expensive, so the trolley stop at the entrance makes it easy to get into town without paying for parking.

Close to attractions

We stayed for 4 nights the weekend before thanksgiving. When we booked we asked for one of the creek side sites. Were told that no sites were reserved and we would be given a site on arrival.

When we arrived the camp was fairly empty but we were told that we couldn't get a creek site because they were being held for people coming in a few days. That was a bit disappointing. Since we were told they didn't hold any sites. Most of those sites stayed empty the entire time we were there.
We were given a site on the side of a very steep hill with quite a few fallen and hanging trees. They were very scaring looking as if they could tumble at any strong wind. The staff was friendly though. And we did enjoy the stay. Just can't make much sense of the site we were given. I think if we were told the truth to start it would have been better.

The office wasn't manned which is understandable for late November. And you cannot call and reach anyone. You have to call and leave a msg and wait for a call back.

RV camping close to amenities

This campground is located on the Parkway in Gatlinburg, so it is a short drive or trolley ride to the heart of town. There’s a road that goes through the campground that passes through to the back side of Gatlinburg, but it was very rough and dangerous in a big truck, but there’s some great hiking back in there. The campground has been around for decades, and is regularly updated, and it is very clean, and always has nice staff. The spots are paved and spaced well enough. There’s a pool and playground, and a creek, but the perfect locating is the best feature in my opinion. This is a great spot if you want to be close to attractions, but not deal with the traffic on the strip. It is quiet and peaceful at night, and bears frequently pass through. I would recommend this if you are looking to RV camp, and be close to attractions.

Beautiful campground

We have stayed here twice, once in May 2019 and October 2019. It is a beautiful campground that is extremely well kept and decorated. The sites are paved and well sized. We love how it is on the trolley line in Gatlinburg and a short ride into town. Best location for RV in Gatlinburg for sure. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is the booking has to be done via phone and both times we stayed they’ve had a minimum night stay requirement.

Closest camping to Gatlinburg

Enjoyed staying here with my family.  We had a creekside site and it was very peaceful.  Friendly staff, great pool, nice bathhouse.  Easy to walk around and enjoy this campground.
