Staff wil STEAL and DESTROY your belongings!

Staff will STEAL and DESTROY your belongings!!!! I had booked a two night stay and was so excited to end my vacation here as it looked like a beautiful campground and our site was right next to a stream. My fiance and I camp in our roof top tent that is connect to the roof of my car, and on the first night there was a rain storm. The following morning, we unclipped our waterproof rain cover from our tent, laid it out to dry on our site with a few other belongings(towels, mats, etc.) and placed rocks on each corner of the cover and nicely hung our towels out to dry(the manager Mary Sprague informed us when we checked in that we were able to leave belongings on our site out as long as nothing was food related). When we returned that evening, our site was completely empty and our Thule waterproof rain cover was taken. It was raining again on our second night and we needed the rain cover in order to open the tent, or else it would get soaked. We called the manager to inform her of our situation and how our belongings were missing, and long story short one of the groundsmen removed all of our belongings from our site because he was"under the impression that we had checked out early", despite there being no confirmation of us saying so and we had left our site and our belongings in an organized fashion, not haphazardly and looked as if we had left in a rush. We were told by Mary Sprague that the groundsman cleaner had thrown our cover in the dumpster early that morning, so that evening they went digging through the dumpster in order to retrieve it. The craziest thing, they had saved our used, wet towels but threw away an almost$200 Thule rain cover??? Does not make much sense as to why they would keep the towels but throw away the cover, unless the groundsman took it for himself and they made an excuse of it"being thrown away in the dumpster" because at first they were not going to look for it and wanted to give me a$10 blue tarp and send me on my way. I argued that the cover fit specifically to my tent and it wasn't just one that you could pick up at Walmart. They finally went and got it and brought it back and it was covered in disgusting, foul smelling stains. Their attempt at cleaning the cover removed the polyurethane coating in which made the cover waterproof. Not only that, wherever they sprayed chemicals or the cleaning solution, it stained the entire area, changing my grey color to a nasty yellow and was sticky to the touch. I was given back the cover in a sopping wet, stinky ball with a shrug of the shoulders and told"sorry for this". I have left various emails in which no one has responded, and phone calls to employees who have told me that management will return my call, but nothing has been done. I am not only out an almost $200 rain cover that fit specific to my roof top tent, but I had to leave the campground that night due to the storm and spend another$150 on a hotel room. Would absolutely not recommend this campground to anyone unless they want their belongings stolen and damaged!!! Below are photos of our stained cover as well as an image of how we left our campsite that morning before our items were taken.

Beautiful campground

Campground was very Accommodating to families. Many options of different sites. With multiple streams running through the campground. They had a waterslide through the woods. And a well-stocked camp store. Some of the sites are a little close together.

Dirty, unkempt, run down and overpriced

Worst place I have ever been to. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Beware of the cancellation policy!!!

Had to forgo one paid night because the camp was so dirty and disgusting! Please find somewhere else to go! Too much false advertising! I can’t warn you enough to go somewhere else!! I would give zero stars if I could!

Swarms of bugs and no water pressure

The bugs, flies, gnats, mosquitoes you name it. Swarms of them as we were setting up. Sites are not level. When we first got there we had a trickle of water. Thought it was us. Husband worked outside trying everything for 40 min with 99 degrees temps, humidity to match AND getting eaten up by flies. Finally said call the office. I did only to find out their tank gets empty and they have to fill it everyday around 11. Next morning got up to take a shower at 7, no water. Too many people took a shower earlier so ran out of water. We were there for a wedding and hoping we could get a shower b/4 the wedding! Pool looked and smelled clean, nice laundry, spaces were sufficient in size. We called the office # about the water a second time and got their Florida office. A guy answered and we ask about the water and he said I’m in reservations in Florida. The connection was terrible and couldn’t understand him. My husband ask if he could transfer us and he rudely shouted..”I just told you I’d transfer you!!” We complained to the local campground and were told that she gets complaints all the time about him. Said she’d report it again. We offered to call if she’d give us the number and she said she’d take care of it. It’s a long way into town from campground. Not some place we’d stay again because of the water situation and it’s not cheap! $72 a night to not have water when you want it!

Great Place! Lots of amenities!

We tent camped here before we got our 5th wheel. Loved it and the kiddos did also. We even stayed a extra two nights. Everything is super clean. They have a nice store and also golf cart rentals. Huge playground and water slide.

ABC campground

There’s plenty of activities and stuff to do for children, outdoor pool, in ground water slide, crafts, fishing pond, playgrounds, GaGa Pit, a theatre for plays and all it truly is a Family friendly place!! My only complaint is how close together all the sites are. There’s hardly any room for parking vehicles as well.

Sitestayed on the sites closest to the play ground so we could watch the kiddos play!

Quiet Side of Gatlinburg

Adventure Bound is a campground chain, and this one is located on the back side of Gatlinburg in the Smokies. It is easy to get to the campground without sitting in the horrendous traffic that Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is notorious for. The location is between Greenbrier and Cosby campground, and that is a great area to visit in the Smokies.

The campground has so many things to do! They have a camp store with essentials and ice cream! They have rental golf carts to get around the property on. There’s an arcade, a pool, an alpine slide, a fishing pond, playground, a “Gaga ball” pit (I had to google what is was), and much more! Plus there is a creek that runs through the property and many sites are on it. Great place for bike riding too.

The campground is very large, and was full when we were there, but it was quiet at night with the sounds of rushing water and crickets. This is a really fun place to stay, especially for families!

Family fun

This campground is in Gatlinburg, but is almost all the way to Cosby. The campground has RV sites, tent sites, cabin rentals, and rv rentals as well. There are several riverfront sites. The campground is large and has several amenities, such as a game room, pool, alpine water slide, fishing pond, and playground. This is a great campground for kids, but is also very quiet at night, even when the campground is full. There is a camp store, that sells camping essentials and souvenirs, and ice cream. There was a shaved ice truck there on the weekend also. We stayed in site 213, which is a riverfront site, however there were campers on the other side of the river. I would recommend staying in one of the riverfront sites on the other side of the park, they would be a little more private. My brother and family stayed in one of the rental campers, and it was nice, however not very clean, despite being charged a cleaning fee. The campground is near the Greenbriar area of the Smokies, and there’s great hiking and fishing nearby. Overall a great spot.

Kid Friendly

My kids loved the water slide and Gaga pit! Sites are small but this seems to be the norm in this area. We spent about twice the amount we normally do for the site but it did include a full hookup and a stream running behind it. Overall it was a little pricey but had great features. Would have given this a 4.5 if that was an option. Our site had some garbage and the fire pit wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival. Staff was readily available and friendly!

Great for Families

Lots to do in this family friendly campground. We never even left. We had a stream-side site that was quiet and relaxing and the kids loved playing in the stream. There is a water slide, pool, fishing pond, Gaga Ball and more. Our site was in a roundabout and bit hard to maneuver in with lots of other vehicles already there, but we managed ok.

Family Friendly Camping

This is a campground that definitely caters to families. Lots to do for the kids. Pool, waterslide, playground, fishing pond and other activities seasonally. Nice camp sites with full hookups available. My only complaint is the small amount of 50amp hookups. We have moved up in RV size from a pop up and find it hard to get a site for our new unit. Other than that, we highly recommend this resort.

Very nice

It was a very nice campground. The weekend we were there, there was also large scout troops there so playground was very busy and loud. My son only got to go down the slide once. The layout was nice. Our site was nice and perfect for us. The fishing pond needs to be cleaned badly! We will be trying to go back again at some point.

Great place to stay with a family, plenty to do for the kids and the staff is amazing. Take your fishing pole for the pond. Only downfall the pool is a little small for the size of the campground if you wanna swim get up there early. Other than that absolutely no complaints!!!

Family-friendly/tween-friendly outdoor resort

This is a large campground resort that offers cabins, spaces and hookups for RVs and travel trailers, and camping spots for tent camping. We have stayed here in a tent and in a camper so I can give a pretty good review as a camper here. The tent spaces were pretty large and very shaded and wooded. They offer electrical and water, and have a designated firepit and picnic table. We did not feel like we were on top of our neighbors at all, and with all the trees we were able to set up our hammocks easily. When we returned with our camper we still had a very wooded space,(although there are sections for larger RVs that are typical RV park spots that don't have much room or trees.) Our spot was on the river towards the back of the campground and felt secluded and was very shadedand and awesome. We were a little far from the pool, but still within walking distance, it was ok. The kids had room to play and explore and we were close to the playground, where many kids were playing, so my kids had a great time. The campground offers events on weekends, like pool parties and water balloon fights and scavenger hunts, and there is a gameroom on grounds for older kids. The pool is huge and there is a mountain waterslide and inflatables for the kids(and some grownups too) to enjoy. We loved camping here and felt that it was great for kids and tweens and teens. Probably not the best place if you want a quiet getaway though, lol. Also restrooms were okay, not the worst but not the best.
