Relaxing

Nice campground, mini golf, quite after 9pm. Relax in chairs by the fire pit next to the stream. Nice dog area. Laundry area is clean. Park is clean. Staff is friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Well manged special campground

The camp ground is surrounded by a river. The only way you can get in is through the bridge. The restrooms were super clean. Our kids loved the playground. The basketball court was also good and come with a ball that anyone can use. The pavilion are open to campers and we used the propane grill.…

Money hungry

This was a great place for families to get together but unfortunately they became money hungry and are charging double the prices for sites. We will use this place but it’s not worth it for the money now. There is one guy that works the front desks and he is as grumpy as grumpy gets. Have fun going…

Clean and affordable

Clean and well kept. Small campground but all sites are cement pads. Pricing is great being very close to downtown and trolley rides are available.

Nice campground

Nice campgrounds. Clean and appears well managed. Creekside sites are very nice and relaxing. Plenty to do for the kids. My only critique is the smaller spaces are just that - noticeably smaller and tight. Reserve the larger ones!

Great park needs some upkeep

Park is beautiful and lake views are amazing however the grass on our site had not been cut. The Bathouse was not cleaned properly the entire week that we stayed there. There was an older gentleman that used a water hose to spray out the bath house. We never seen any type of cleaning other than…

Spacious sites

Sites here are very unlevel, but where your RV/camper and under awning is pretty level. The rest of the site falls away. your neighbors aren’t that close. They provide cable box and remote if you want to have TV. We didn’t bother hooking it up spent too much time visiting the Smoky Mountains. Lots…

Great

Nice, clean campground. Used the primitive camping, everything was well taken care of. The rangers are informative and friendly. The employees, the same. Real nice place to stay.

Top Notch Fun For All Ages

Campground is very well maintained. Our group was in tents, campers and the only cabin on property. The tent sites are a little tight and fire pits in slightly odd places with proximity to the tent pads. The fire pit grills worked beautifully. The swimming hole was a blessing durning the hot…

Beautiful , clean, charming and.. QUIET!!!

Beautiful and convenient camp near Smoky Mountain National Park. River access for tubing on property, great swimming hole. Little things like the staff cleans every campsite before guests arrive. We watched the staff every morning zip around to make sure everything is tidy. River was low but we…

Great place to stay

This is by far my favorite camp ground that I've been too. This place is top notch, very well managed and maintained.

They offer a wide variety of camping from tents to rental rvs and they even have a nice little swimming area. The main campground is on an island, the place is very quiet and…

Great proximity to lake but campground needs work

Very convenient to the lake but the campground is a little rough. Just changed ownership so there is hope. Sites are very unlevel. Dump station is on the wrong side of the road and not well maintained. No hose to flush your tanks. Mostly seasonal sites which would be rough with no sewer hookups.…

Whimsical Relaxation

Quaint park tucked away in the hills of VA in Big Stone Gap next to South Fork Powell River. Although our site is right on top of our neighbor, that is NOT the norm. Sites are spaced out with some full-timers, part-timers and vacationers. The owner allowed us to choose our site, and after having…
