Great camp site

The camp site is a short walk and was very nice. The porta potty was very big, clean and had hand sanitizer! In the morning there were many runners in the park but they stayed away from the camping area.

Cozy spot

Very nice and secluded campsite, with a very nice view of the pond. You can definitely tell that there’s been some people here before because they’ve left some trash but overall it’s a very nice spot where are you just pull in with your vehicle and set up your own campsite.

Not a happy camper for koa rates

Mostly gravel site..heavy construction where patio sites are. They’re not open. Very nosy machinery during the day we are here. Stepped up hill gravel sites. Very difficult to ride bikes on loosegravel. My grandson fell twice.playground is moderate at best. Speed limit is an issue. They seem to…

Sand hollow

Great site. It's not listed on maps, but it is right across the way from hook lake, there is an access road you'll go on that will take you there. It's right off 83 in McConnellsville, outside Caldwell, ohio. Beautiful spot, there is a pond for boating and fishing. Fish are bluegill, bass, red…

Small, but wonderful

I liked the thought of a smaller campground. Less noise and people. Even though it rained the majority of our trip, it was a great time. The staff is super friendly and keep everything nice and clean. Highly recommend for a nice, quiet weekend!

Staff was great!! View was Fantastic! Showers & restrooms were super clean & nice!!!! Sites were level. Laundry building was great also! Grounds were well kept. Phone & WiFi good. Only downside would be road noise on front sites.

Great park

This is a great state park campground. We stayed at an electric site. The spots are decent sized, plenty of restrooms, pool, playground and camp store that sells ice cream! Tubing down the creek next to the campground was super cool too. Cabins looked very nice and secluded. We hiked to the…

Family Fun

This place is AMAZING for families with kids! Tons of planned activities (about every hour) for everyone to enjoy. Huge pool, gem mine, mini golf, and homemade ice cream! *My 4 star rating is because after a huge downpour of rain for a day, our beautiful premium site flooded.

Nice little local campground

I have camped here at least once every year since I discovered Guilford Lake in 2017. The campground is clean (mostly) and quiet. It is dog friendly; all dogs must be leashed.

PROS:

Quiet. Right on the lake; super easy lake access. Boat ramp. Swimming beach.  Convenient (for me anyway).…

Free for a reason?

We needed a place to crash after traveling all day and knew it was going to be a quick turnaround so we stumbled upon this campsite. It served its purpose as it allowed us to rest for the night. However, I didn’t feel very safe! All through the night there were sketchy cars and trucks in and out of…

Lots to see and do!

This park is huge! There are several areas to pay for camping as well as primitive camp. It’s near the water and they offer several trails. Other than the trails, there is a stone house to view as well as a cave. We explored both and thought they were both interesting. The paid sites are pretty…

Winter Overnight

The Park & Pack sites were a bit confusing online, so I decided on a solo exploratory trip before bringing my 9yr out.

After getting to the Ranger kiosk everything was pretty self explanatory. I stayed at Campsite 3, which was beautiful, tucked off of the trail beside a wide stream. Fair…

Hidden gem

We fell in love with this little campground. While our site wasn't lakefront, many of the sites are right on the water. We only spent one night there but we're really looking forward to returning with more time to stay so that we can take advantage of the kayak and paddle boat rentals.
