Northwoods heaven

A nice quiet campground with trees between the sites to give it a more private feel. Showers and bathrooms are available if desired and a crystal clear lake with sandy beaches. No motorized boats allowed unless you go to the neighbors lake about a min down.

Zealot Leash

Overall a decent Campground. Lots are spacious. Layout of fire pit on sites are poor. For example lot 76, fire is offset to the left of the electrical post. This is a problem since majority of RVs have awnings on the right side and electrical hook up on the back left side. Our fire pit ended up…

Great Family Atmosphere

We enjoyed the amenities and activities this campground had to offer. Clean bathrooms and laundry room. Great activities for kids…fishing presentation, movie, kickball. The site was full sun which got hot. There were shaded sites, but we couldn’t get sites together in the woods to be close to…

Outdated Campground

Very run down bathroom and shower facilities. When we were here the site next to us housed some rather undesirable folks. No noise policy here either. Lots of mosquitos. Would not stay here again.

Cancellation Refund

We had to cancel our reservation due to medical, we did give 1 month notice but the owner would not return the 1/2 down payment. If it was only a week or two and they did not fill the site I would understand. This was just wrong. The owner was very rude when questioned about this. We had another…

Beautiful lake views and big sites

Campground is a hidden gem - these sites are huge and if you can get one of the sites right on the lake, do it! We reserved a site last minute and stayed on site 1933 which had a slight lake view but site 1925 looked amazing. Families staying here had kids swimming right off the campsite in the…

Amazing camping right in the park

Willow River State Park in Wisconsin is an amazing camp site and since it's in a state park the rates are quite reasonable as well. There are tons of hiking trails that start right In the campground. My favorite hike is to the waterfall and walking up the steps to get to the top of it. I am…

Best campsite.... hidden gem

Me and the kids took a road trip from North Carolina to Wisconsin over the summer during Covid to get away. We stopped at several states and several campgrounds and this one to this day is still our favorite. Even though less amenities since there’s no showers... the site and scenery made that less…

Off the beaten path

On the water. Lots of deer and turkeys. Heard wolves at night. It was great!

Excellent Escape!

If you're looking for an off-the-grid escape this is it.  The hike-in/paddle in camping spots are equipped with a picnic table and a firepit, everything else is up to you.  I have been going here yearly for the last 10ys and absolutely love it!  The only downside is the fishing has gone downhill…

Legacy and a Gem

We first stayed at Alpine Campground this summer and we ended up staying twice on two separate trips. Both times we needed a place to rest for a night on our way to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and later to Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. We think we discovered something special.…

Camping in the Wild at its best!

This is my absolute favorite place to camp, hike, kayak, fish, and just get away from it all. If you want seclusion, you can find it here with many remote campsites that are only accessible through the water or overland by hiking the trails in the park.

The park has 2 rustic cabins and 2 yurts…

Lovely place

This place has always been well maintained. Clean facilities. There is plenty of space in between camping or RV spots. If your looking for a place that isn't crammed packed full of people this is it. Utv trails to Wisconsin can be accessed right here. There are waterfalls nearby that are off the…
