Highly Rcommend

We stayed here for the first time over Labor Day weekend. The campground great with a lot of amenities for young and old alike. We will definitely be going back, and would recommend this campground to anyone.

Incredible Experience - Especially for Family & Kids

We stayed here in our little offroad teardrop camper which looked like David & Goliath when contrasted against the massive 5th wheels surrounding us. This did not prevent us from enjoying the lake, the park, the pool, bike riding, fly fishing, etc. It felt like endless things to do, whereas in most campgrounds the trouble is finding something to do. You can easily argue that the owners treat this as a true resort and the cleanliness, and friendliness clearly shows. Would 100% go back and probably will next year.

The Boardman river is only 10 minutes away and support incredible fly fishing.

Fun and accommodating!

I'm a new camper owner, and a travel RN. I was working in TC and needed a place to live at with my kids for the summer. All the campgrounds were booked up at least one day a week so I was having to put the camper up in storage regularly and then take it out again after the weekend. They helped me find a spot to stay for the rest of the season! Also, it is super great for kids. My son is having a blast making friends and playing at the pool. Tho I will say, ATT does not have great signal out here

Nice Camping Experience, but…….

The lots were not very level so the set up was a bit more difficult. Had to use several leveling blocks. We had to purchase extra hose for the sewage hook ups as they were situated further away and were also a bit uphill. The bathroom facilities were ok but not great. The showers were cramped and small. The campground itself is in a beautiful woods setting. If you have kids there is a ton of stuff to do there. Overall things were pretty nicely kept up though.

Sitecannot remember site number.

So much to do!

We LOVE it here. It’s in a great area with lots to do nearby. Or you don’t ever need to leave - so many activities. Highly recommend.

First time, will be back!

We had a chilly Memorial Day weekend but were very impressed with the campground. Great mix of activities for the kids. Big park but felt small, no problems with traffic and golf carts like we have experienced at other “resort” style campgrounds. All sites are full hookup and there are just enough cabins, cottages, and yurts for our non-camping family to tag along! Staff was very friendly.

Great for active kids

This is a very large campground that is usually full during the summer. There is no shortage of activities here: a small pond/beach, pool, jumping pillow, dodgeball, bike trails, ATV trails, crafts, parades, etc.  It's great for the active family, particularly those with elementary & middle school age kids.  It can be rather loud at times.  There are some seasonal sites, a small "village" of tiny houses, yurts, and a lot of RV/tent sites.  The location is good, as it can be a good jumping off point to explore Traverse City and the surrounding area.  This definitely isn't a campground for people who like quiet and solitude, but if this is your style of camping, it's a great place.

Good for kids

This is a very busy and large campground that is typically full in the summertime. It’s great for elementary and middle grade kids, with a ton of activities available. They have a pool, small lake/beach, jumping pillow, bike trails, dodgeball, etc. it’s right next to a dirt bike/atv trail. They have tc and tent fires along with yurts and all kinds of cabins. There is a nice mix of about 1/3 seasonal, rest short term. Definitely not a natural/rustic experience, but fun for active families. Also, it’s a good base fir exploring the traverse city area.

So many activities

This resort is great if you are wanting a bustling campground full of activities. There is a pool, jump pad, miles and miles of mountain biking trails and hiking trails, a man made lake which has some inflatable water toys. The campground also has a pool, hammock area, bikes and other rental toys, a mountain bike training course (rather technical) paved roads, volleyball courts, basketball courts, dodgeball games that take place along with themed weeks. There is always something going on. You are about 15 minutes away from downtown Traverse City which has great food and a fun downtown area. Gorgeous views!

Huge Resort

We were here off season , daily rate was $40 . There is a lot to do in this park , zip line , pool , walking trail, lake. Golf cart rentals . Lots of kid activities, in fact there was a Halloween party as we pulled in . Gated to pull back to sites, our first site was pretty unlevel but we were able to move without issue, Good T-Mobile and antenna TV Not sure where the picture on the site was taken but does not seem to be from this CG There seems to be 2 listing for this resort .

Nice

Mostly seasonal campers. Has a small lake with fishing. There is an indoor pool & game room. There are activities all the time. Bingo every weekend. Some open sites & some in the trees. I think they are adding a few cabins.

Resort Camping

This campground is great for what it is, a resort type campground with tons of activities and opportunities for fun. It is not a typical campground for people looking to get lost in the woods. There are trails if you want to get away from all the action, however the main campground area is usually quite busy.

Busy, fun-filled place

If you are looking for a camping getaway, this may not be the place for you. It is always bustling with action, but can be lots of fun! I would definitely say this is geared more towards children and families than an escape into nature. There is a camp store, turbo bikes, a variety of family activities, a pool, playground, bike park, equipment and rentals, laundry facility, cabins, cottages, and yurts for rent. This is also a pet friendly campground, so there are many dogs. Probably one of my favorite parts was dodgeball... and the multiple bike trails that connect to the VASA trail system.

Excellent Location with Lots of Activities

We were searching for a super last minute campground near Traverse City for Memorial Weekend and everything within a quick drive seemed booked. I called up Timber Ridge to check if anything came available and they offered an RV site that we could use for our tents. It was a miracle!

The campgrounds were easy to navigate and even with all the activities available it never seemed too busy or too crowded or too loud. our campsite (although surrounded by RVs was perfect size and spot for 4 of us camping with 2 tents and an SUV loaded down with kayaks.

The RV spot had electric and water so we were able to take advantage of that to keep portable devices charged and clean dishes we’d brought along. and the campsite comes with a fire ring (with attached grill) and picnic table.

Would definitely come back here next time we’re in the area!
