Pleasant Surprise

Great Place!

This was such a nice camp ground & wonderful owners!!! We had a birthday party and our site was right across from the nice clean park and a pool that wasn't open yet! But we will be back to enjoy that! We had full hook up and everything was literally a breeze!

Good WiFi

Nice stop to get good WiFi. Otherwise, it’s not a very rustic camping experience. Great if you’re into that kind of RV park.

Twin Lakes Campground

Beautiful lake, great swimming, too many four wheelers. Local black bears. Close to Lake of the Clouds and the Porcupine mountains.

Excellent Escape!

If you're looking for an off-the-grid escape this is it.  The hike-in/paddle in camping spots are equipped with a picnic table and a firepit, everything else is up to you.  I have been going here yearly for the last 10ys and absolutely love it!  The only downside is the fishing has gone downhill…

Camping in the Wild at its best!

This is my absolute favorite place to camp, hike, kayak, fish, and just get away from it all. If you want seclusion, you can find it here with many remote campsites that are only accessible through the water or overland by hiking the trails in the park.

The park has 2 rustic cabins and 2 yurts…

I love this place

Very quiet and clean. Owners were friendly. Stayed late for ya to arrive and personally escorted us to our site which was next level customer service. We will be back.

A beautiful, but crowded and expensive spot

Hi, all. So, everyone’s been traveling haven’t they? Us spontaneous no planning SOB’s are SOL. My family could not find anywhere to stay and this was the very last campsite on the map in the state of Michigan. We thought F it. We will pay 30$ for electricity and a shower... honestly worth it for…

Close to ATV trails

We have stayed here 2x. Atv trails are across the interstate. It’s was a great time! This campground is meticulously taken care of by the owners. first time we stayed here it was quiet during the school season. Mostly adult couples. Second time was summer break and there were a lot of children. I…

Updated and all amenities

For the last 3 years the county has hired a new manager who lives on site. The county put in a new shower house that would make a college locker room look weak. All hookups available, and sewer service is an added perk. The new manager has updated all picnic tables, gravel, docks, signs, and…

Great week

Quite little park, a waterfall about 5 minutes away. Right on a lake. We were site 44 it rained a lot. But it didn't flood the site. So that was a bonus. Bathrooms were outdated but we'll kept. Dave; the wood guy came around every day at 5 and had some nice wood for fires. We would stay again!

Loads to do around

This Campground has a nice shower house, a pool and good size sites just be careful if you want to be and what it states to specifically ask for them. A train runs next to the campground but only comes through periodically we were there a week and only saw it twice. Tons to do up here waterfalls…

Only stay if Ontonagon County Park is all that's left

Ontonagon County Park is right on Lake Gogebic. If that is all you read you might book a site. This place doesn't look like it has been updated in years. It is run down.

The positive is that it is right on the lake and has a boat ramp. So if you want to boat and can't find another place to…
