Park house was a great way to try camping

We rented one of the park houses to join friends who have RVs. It was a great way to try out camping for our family. We really enjoyed the swimming pond and the pool.

Peaceful National Forest Campground

Very nice campground on Kneff Lake in the Huron-Manistee National Forest. The campground road is blacktop in great condition. There are 2 loops. The lower loop (1-18) has gravel spurs and the upper loop (19-27) has blacktop spurs. Sites are generously sized and fairly well spaced. This is dry…

Very nice camping

We enjoyed our time here, sites are bigger with lots of trees/shade. Nice views, bathrooms will be a bit rustic for some. But we loved the area and space the campground provides. The worms dropping from the trees were crazy.

Love this place!

Great, quiet, cozy place to take kids or anyone for that matter. Right on the river and clean, flat lots.

Quiet & small

We chose this campground due to location (family event nearby). The sites are spacious and clean. The campground had 4 other occupied sites (seasonal?). We never saw another person during our visit. The sites have electric only. Water is shared between 3-4 sites, so you better bring a hundred feet…

  • Our site seemed to be the only one with a sledding hill.
  • Very clean shower. Only one stall.

Bad

Would not recommend this camp ground. Very rude employees. Very dirty campsites.

Clean!

They do a great job maintaining and improving site each year. Their bathrooms are very clean daily. Very happy with our stays at this campground.

Great for active kids

This is a very large campground that is usually full during the summer. There is no shortage of activities here: a small pond/beach, pool, jumping pillow, dodgeball, bike trails, ATV trails, crafts, parades, etc.  It's great for the active family, particularly those with elementary & middle…

Good for kids

This is a very busy and large campground that is typically full in the summertime. It’s great for elementary and middle grade kids, with a ton of activities available. They have a pool, small lake/beach, jumping pillow, bike trails, dodgeball, etc. it’s right next to a dirt bike/atv trail. They…

Nice little Campground

Nice bathrooms. This park is situated up on a hill on beautiful Elk Lake. Elk Lake can easily access Torch River and into Torch Lake. It has a fantastic boat launch which we have used. There are hiking trails nearby and the campground is about 15 minutes away from the quaint town of Elk Rapids and…

Huge Resort

We were here off season , daily rate was $40 . There is a lot to do in this park , zip line , pool , walking trail, lake. Golf cart rentals . Lots of kid activities, in fact there was a Halloween party as we pulled in . Gated to pull back to sites, our first site was pretty unlevel but we were…

Pretty Campground

Nice campground. Only thing that makes it 4 rather than 5 for me is lake access, required a drive or carrying everything on a lengthy hike.

NO LOUD MUSIC

This is a nice campground although there's a big sign at the entrance discouraging loud music.

Very Clean and Great Bathrooms

Camped here during the week. This is a township campground and does NOT get funding from The state so there are lots of little fees and also the showers are quarter operated (7 min per 25cents). But its well worth the money because they keep it very well cleaned and updated bathrooms. We got a lake…
