Camp site was HUGE! I believe ours was like 40x65! Electric hookup. Pet friendly park and beach area.
Neighbors and other park goers wasn’t as friendly as I’ve experienced at other parks. Around 4/10 spoke or waved when we spoke and waved.
If you like the beach, you’ll easily get out in the…

I was underwhelmed. The camp site had the bones, but probably should not be called a “holiday” KOA. The sites were very thin, se we never had a fire. Which was fine because they never had any wood. The pool was “out of season” so the kids did not get to enjoy swimming… which would have been fine…
Well maintained campground with lots of water craft for rent
Very nice campground right on the lake. With views of the Mackinaw Bridge and islands. Spacious sites nice beach area. Camp store is well stocked with everything you could need.
This park is great and it’s 100% open for 2021...I was just there, it’s not closed at all, just a very small part of the park is for repairs and upgrade 6/17/21
This is a great campground at a great location. There are not many campgrounds right on the great lakes that are not run by the state of Michigan. There are quite a few sites that are right on the water. Some of them are very narrow as they try to pack in as many as possible by the water. I can…
It unfortunately rained for almost every minute we were here, but the campground itself was great! Larry the host was great. Plenty of firewood available at his site. Day use area had a clean beach and good water for bathing/swimming. Awesome hike up to Spectacle Lake Overlook nearby. Go to Pickles…

Made a quick overnight stop while road tripping with beautiful wife. Very nice lakeside campsites. Little on the pricey side for me. Edging a little bit towards the style of the Michigan state parks, which isn't my scene. None the less, sites were nice and facilities were clean.
Very cheap - 30 amps, water and sewer hookup on unlevel overgrown sites. Not exaggerating that weeds are a foot high covering all the sites and grounds like a pasture - unless you bring your own weedeater or mower. The ancient class c camper next to us doesn't appear to be movable and has no sewer…

There's nothing wrong with the campground, but there's nothing particularly special about it, either. It's a decent basic campground close to Mackinaw City, so a good alternative for folks that don't want to stay in a hotel/motel, while visiting. There is a shuttle to the ferries, which is…
If you want to gamble it's the place for you If you want to camp fine a better place
Great host A+++
Flys were out as normal but still very enjoyable place,
Awesome base camp to explore the UP of Michigan. Clean facilities, level sites, well spaced out, and beautiful scenery
Make a reservation well in advance. Bathroom facilities were beautifully clean, fun yard games to borrow, kayaks to rent. Decent sized sites- some directly on the lake with access and beach. Use the map to pick the best one! Picnic table and fire pit. Easy to find. Highly rec. Wood and ice…

This park has become our go-to place. The location is very secluded, but also close to Mackinaw if you are in the mood to go out for dinner. There are also a ton of places to visit within about an hour’s drive.
The campground itself is clean and generally low key. Virtually no partiers running…
