    Lake Cumberland RV Park

    Not the finest in the nation like it says

    (We are here with a Class C Mini-motor home Coachmen Leprechaun 1998)

    Good only if you like to golf or bring your boat on a trailer, if you’re like us looking to have a nice dispersed campground with river access to walk to, do not come here. The only plus side to coming here is that Lot 14 is across from the bathrooms and washer/dryers.

    No swimming No fishing Not every RV lot has a sewage hkup No shop No firewood for sale No place to look for geodes nearby Basically nothing to do here unless you have a boat or you golf or you have a bike Swimming pool but closed until further notice

    Pros

    Nice showers Nice bathrooms Really pretty scenery You can rent golf carts 26$ for 7 days Picnic table for every lot Fire pit for every lot

    Overall if you’re looking to just sit in your RV or your Boat, or golf your time away, perfect place for that,

    On the other hand, if you’re not interested in any of that, don’t come here, especially if you’re in a mini-motor home. Not much for us to do.

    Cave Country RV Campground

    2 night stay on our cross country road trip

    Doing a road trip from CO to the east coast while hitting some national parks. This RV park is convenient off the highway and close to Mammoth cave national park. Quiet with lots of birds chirping all day. There is a train that runs through it it would bother you. Staff is friendly. So are the other campers. The pool is nice. Showers are clean. We don’t have a regular RV and they were super accommodating (see pics).

    Hones Pointe Campground

    A bit off the beaten trail, but nice and quiet along the banks of the Kentucky river

    It’s a nice campground. There’s room for about eight or nine RVs and lock the tent camping. The trees are all small so you’re out in the kind of a area with a lot of sun. I can’t speak to the Wi-Fi here because I’m using Starlink. The only caution is if we get heavy, heavy rains in the spring, some bits of this campground blood so be careful picking a site avoid the fourth from the road.

    Born Again Camping/Antiques

    A true hidden gem!

    We had such a lovely stay at Born Again. We were genuinely surprised to be the only guests over Memorial Day weekend! Peggy was an absolute gem - so kind, generous, and truly someone with a heart of gold. It’s clear she has poured so much love and care into the campground, and it shows in every detail. The entire place is perfectly eclectic, charming, and delightfully quirky.

    Her sweet dog, Lily, kept us company throughout our stay and quickly won our hearts. We also had visits from Boots the cat, who was just as friendly and welcoming. Peggy kindly let us peek into each of the themed cabins, and it was easy to see the thoughtfulness and creativity behind every space. Each cabin felt carefully curated to match its theme, making the experience even more special.

    Her husband, Tony, also stopped by to say hello, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this was such a special place, and we already can’t wait for our next visit.

    Canal Campground- Lake Barkley COE

    Lakeside sunrise

    Busy but quiet campground. This spot is sitting on the lake. Perfect place to watch sunrise over the lake. This is a back-in, large site with a fairly level pad. It is relatively private site for this campground. Lots of families using golf carts to get around the campground. You can fish from this site and lots of good hammock trees. Nice firepit with grill grate. Site has electric and water.

    Grandma's RV Park

    A NICE PLACE!

    I really enjoyed my stay here! It's quiet but not too quiet if ya know what I mean. The bathrooms and laundry room are always clean, if something breaks they make it right and it's close to almost everything! Very understanding people with the exception of 1 (which I felt like he didn't like me from the jump) but it's ok. Gina (my fav) and Darlene made up for it. Tim was nice, just quiet! Great bunch of people! So go check it out and tell them Tina said hi 😉
