Excellent first time!

We spent 2 nights at Cummins Ferry with 2 other families! We absolutely LOVED it! The staff was friendly and the scenery was amazing! Our sites overlooked the river and we loved the walking trails along the river! We had kids that fished and played in the playground and sat by the fire every night! We will absolutely return!

Heaven!

We had the most amazing time and actually ended up extending our stay here because of how lovely this spot is. Secluded and tucked away along the river. Very clean sites, both back-in and pull-through. Full hookups. They have live music and a food truck on Saturdays. Entry is by card-swipe only, so very safe. Peaceful spot without much noise. Little trail along the river to walk.

Waterfall and trails are nice, but the sites aren’t level

The sites here are not level. We used our normal 2x green blocks for the Jack, but needed all 10 of our leveling blocks, plus 8 paving stones to get the appropriate height.

Despite advertising, there is no dog park. There are a ton of dogs, so this would’ve been nice.

The river and waterfall makes it feel like a tranquil place. The walking trail by the river is nice, we walked it almost every day.

Live music and food trucks every Saturday are a nice touch!

Great resort!!! Very very happy customer

Really can’t say enough good things about Cummins Ferry. Beautiful park with loads of amenities: full hook ups, camp store, pool disc golf, fishing, hiking, fire pits at sites, river views and event organized by resort. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Sites are a bit bigger than what you find at most rv parks. However the WiFi is pretty crappy. I’m sure this place is packed full in the summertime so booking early then would be a smart idea.

Small park restrooms and showers. Very clean. Nice pool. Camp store offers basics. Fairly close to shopping groceries etc. staff was friendly 30/50 amp service didn’t count the number of river view sites. But quite a few. Some sites have 20 X 12 elevated decks. Full hook ups. Pet friendly. Was very quiet the week we stayed. Didn’t feel like bringing the camper home so payed for another week and drive back the following week. Cell service. Isn’t the best WiFi was available if I remember. Correctly rates were reasonable

Great park next to the river

This is a small well maintained campground right on the Kentucky river. It is down in a hollow which makes it secluded and quiet. There is a dock and a boat ramp. The customer service is exceptional. Under new management since November, they are making some very nice upgrades. 30/50 amp full hook ups with a number of pull throughs. The sites next to the river are level and easy to back into. There is a pavilion and a pool. It is about 30 minutes from Lexington and about 8 miles to the closest town. The one lane road coming in might give you the willies but it is worth it. They have 5 WiFi connections making this some of the best campground WiFi I have ever had. This is a lovely spot with nice amenities.

Cute but small

We decided to go down for a weekend to see how we'd like it. It's situated high up on the Kentucky river bank which is nice but there's little access to the riverbank except from the floating dock and boat ramp. When we arrived there was left overs from the previous flood which made it very muddy. It's definitely dog friendly but with no trails to really walk them on. We found a game trail that took us down to the riverbank at the end of the campground and found a goat hanging in a tree from the previous flooding. Perfect campground for partiers who don't respect quiet hours and those who stay at their camper the whole time.

Pictures, is not what you get

Think twice about a river lot, they are 50’ up from the river. Like a lot of CG in the north, they save the the good spots for the regular’s. WiFi works well if you catch it early. 3-4am. No cell (T-Mobile or ATT)

Helpful Hosts

Within an hour of buying my 1966 Airstream (only 17’ but I needed a pull through!) I chose this beautiful campground because of the people! Starting with the needed reassurance on the phone, then setting me up and checking in to make sure I was doing ok. As a newbie, I was so glad to have the staff (and friendly neighbors) helping me out! Next time I’ll explore the trails and enjoy the water.

This was a very nice, clean, family friendly campground!

We loved the campground!  The facilities were very nice and clean.  The park was clean and very spacious.  We had lots of room in our space and we were not on top of our neighbors!!  Our dogs loved the park.  We will be back to stay again.

All around amazing!

If you love water and nature this is the place for you! Beautiful river front campground that is peaceful. There is a boat ramp (perfect for my kayak), docks to go fishing off of, lots of nature and trails. I just brought my RV here for an extended stay and the staff made every effort to make sure my stay would be enjoyable! They even came out and helped me hook everything up (I’m a newbie to RV camping). They have new owners and the staff is very welcoming and treat you like family and friends. I highly recommend this place and so thankful I found this little gem!

Best RV spot in Kentucky

This place is great, Gated, pool, play ground, showers, store, private boat ramp w/ marina. Plenty of pull through spots, large and small back in spots. The owners take great time and care of the place. Pictures will not do it justice.
