Basic

Right off a main road the spots are shallow so not ideal for long rigs. It does have power and one pit toilet at one end.

Quick last second stop

Made a quick last second stop here on a long road trip after was getting late. Great place! Several sites to choose from, first come basis. Find your spot and pay at the self serve area. Vault restrooms were clean, trails were nice although it was very wet and muddy so didn't get off paved trail. Many sites have electric.

Fenton Self-service needs serviced or a discounted price.

Some of the sites were messy with garbage and debris of inconsiderate campers or possibly people just pulling through. Some of the fire pits and concrete tables were broken. Vault toilet was fine, and was serviced while we were there. Several of the lots weren’t level. You can hear cars and vehicles on the highway and crossing the bridge throughout the day and night. It bothered my light sleeping husband. The campsites are gravel but there were a lot of very sharp, large rocks. We had a footprint under our tent, plus foam yoga mats to line the tent floor and it was still extremely uncomfortable to stand or kneel on the tent floor. Fortunately, we had cots for the kids and an air mattress. We walked the bridge at sunrise which was a beautiful view. It was $25 for one night, and we paid less for a better full service campground.

Great spot and close to the highway!

I was excited to see that one of my favorite areas to go swimming around had campgrounds and trails as well! The campgrounds are well taken care of and have picnic tables, fire pits and electric access! We didn’t have direct water though on our site!

There is plenty of room at each site and it’s close to several trails and the boat dock were you can splash around. The nearest bathroom is about a 1/2 mile away from the campgrounds, as well as a water facet. Also it’s a great area for a family because of the huge pavilion just a hundred feet outside the grounds!

There’s an honors system for payment so make sure to pay your site!

How does the self-service registration work at Fenton Campground?

Fenton Campground operates on a self-service registration system. Upon arrival, you first select an available campsite of your choice on a first-come, first-served basis. After finding your spot, proceed to the self-serve registration area where you'll complete the necessary paperwork and pay the required camping fee. This system allows for convenient 24-hour access without needing staff present. Be prepared with the exact payment amount as change may not be available at the self-service station.

Where is Fenton Campground located in Land Between the Lakes?

The campground is situated near a swimming area, making it a convenient base for water activities. Its location provides access to nearby trails for hiking and exploration of the surrounding natural landscape. The campground's accessibility from major roadways makes it a practical overnight stop for travelers passing through the region.

Are there free camping options at Fenton Campground?

Fenton Campground does not offer free camping options. It operates as a fee-based campground where payment is required through the self-service registration system. Can I bring an RV to Fenton Campground in Land Between the Lakes?

Yes, you can bring an RV to Fenton Campground, but with some limitations. The campground offers electrical hookups at sites, making it suitable for RVs requiring power. However, the sites are relatively shallow and positioned close to the main road, which may present challenges for longer rigs. Water hookups are not available directly at individual sites. Some sites may not be level, requiring leveling blocks. For larger RVs, it's advisable to arrive early to secure one of the more accommodating spaces.
