Demumber's Bay

Reservations are not required for camping at Demumbers Bay. It operates as a backcountry, dispersed camping area within Land Between the Lakes. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. When planning your visit, be prepared for self-sufficient camping and arrive early during peak seasons to secure a spot, especially for the prime waterfront locations. Check with Land Between the Lakes administration for any permit requirements or camping regulations.

Demumbers Bay is located in Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky. It's accessible via a paved Forest road that leads to the bay area. The campground sits along the shoreline of the lake, offering water views from many of the camping spots. This backcountry campground is situated in a more remote section of Land Between the Lakes, providing a peaceful setting away from more developed areas.

Visitors to Demumbers Bay can enjoy numerous recreational activities centered around the water and surrounding natural areas. The boat ramp provides easy lake access for fishing, boating, and kayaking. The shoreline is perfect for swimming and fishing during warmer months. Demumbers Bay is a primitive backcountry campground with minimal facilities. It offers vault toilets and trash dumpsters as the main amenities. The campground features compacted gravel roads throughout the area. Camping spots include several pull-in sites suitable for rooftop tents, plus multiple dispersed camping locations both along the water and in nearby wooded areas. Most sites have stone fire rings created by previous campers.
