clean and convenient

Easy on/off of I-10.  Friendly, helpful staff.  Plenty of pull throughs.  Some pads are dirt, some gravel, some concrete.  They appear to be adding gravel to un-occupied sites.  The camp rules (cloth lines, pet pens) are clearly not enforced

Beautiful place with all the amenities

They have nice paved lots with privacy vegetation between lots. Nice pool and clean restrooms and showers. This is a premier RV Park

Beautiful campground

We spent one night in a non waterfront site. Still had a great view of the lake. Clean restrooms and hot showers. Pay cash it check only. Call in advance for reservations and to confirm availability. I grew up in the area and have been to Lake Jackson many times as a kid. Nice walking trail around…

Not great, but not horrible.

This KOA isn't the greatest but it isn't one of the worst I've stayed at. I'd stay again, but only if there wasn't camping availability around the area except for here.

Pros: Location on the bay - 👌 Pool/hot to on site Close to fuel stations Close to main roads to get you where you want to go…

Quiet and well-maintained campground

The campground is technically not in a traditional beach such as Miramar or Clearwater; rather, it’s a small bay front area with a small man-made beach area adjacent a pier out into the bay. The campground is well-maintained except for the ant mounds around all the sites. The water in the bay is…

Boondocking northwest Florida

It was great except for the yellow flies that were everywhere. Not as bad once we got in our spot.

Tent area is great!

We stayed with two small tents in T6, which had some shade but was also adjacent to an open field area, which would be great for kiddos who want room to spread out and play games. There was also an easier area to park in and enter the site from the back. Perfect hammock trees at this site. The park…

Mixed Feelings

The Hideaway Retreat is a quirky little place tucked between the Santa Rosa Sound and Navarre Hwy. I can’t say it was a horrible stay - there are some nice features: you are pretty much right on the water and the depth and calmness are perfect for younger children and parents who want to…

Nice spot

This was a great little area close to the beach with several amenities. We stayed here two nights. I would say the most challenging part was getting across the highway - it tends to be pretty busy. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the bathrooms didn’t get cleaned while we were…

Friendly Staff, Clean campground

We camped here over Memorial weekend and we had a great time. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The campground store came in handy on more than one occasion. We had a lot of fun playing putt putt and swimming in the pool.

Great place for a weekend trip

Me, my wife and a few friends decided to winter camp here 1/17/2021. The manager was super friendly and love talking with the guests. We ended up needing to park more cars than the park rules stated but the manager was very accommodating. Quiet campsite besides the occasional otter diving in the…

Super nice !

This campground is really beautiful. Has two pools and everything else! Has the most beautiful beach in itire golf of Mexico ! The only set back, is the price : $ 257 for directly on the beach, and the rest are : $ 185 . It is very pricey!

Relaxing spot

Spent 2 nights @ the hurricane lake south. Beautiful spot to relax and decompress. I suggest bringing fishing gear if you are into fishing. I was motocamping so I couldn't fit my fishing gear on my bike. I eneded up meeting some awesome folks there

On the beach! But buggy.

My daughter and I had a great stay...until the tiny biting bugs got In Our Dodge Ram Promaster and we couldn’t get them out. We had to spray our bedding down w bug spray but it didn’t work so then we had to bag all the bedding into trash bags and sleep on the mattress without blankets. We couldn’t…
