Great Camping

We primitive camped at Tates Hell for 4 nights at the end of March 2021. Our campsite was awesome! We could drive right up to it, it was clean with no junk in the firepit & it was good, level ground, & very private & inexpensive. The bathrooms/showers were less than 6 months old &…

Cleanest bathroom I’ve ever seen, including my own

I wish I could give this park 6 stars! We camped on a quiet weekend in September and had the place mostly to ourselves. Two small bathhouses and both were spotless (I mean actually WITHOUT SPOTS, cleanest I’ve ever seen). The grounds were well kept and not a piece of trash in sight. They had…

Beautiful and quiet

Inland park that benefits from so many people wanting the beach! Lightly used campground that was very well maintained, beautiful, and a great place to relax. The park is beautiful, too, but the trails seem a bit challenging for me. I stayed a second night just because I was enjoying the respite.

Quiet & Beautiful

4 stars for no water or electric hookups.. Also I don't do spiders and they are all over the place here.. And HUUUUGEEE at that. Fishing dock is nice and you can see lots of gators. I don't recommend swimming in the water, its pretty murky. Nice and shady spots and you can reserve ahead of time.…

Peaceful lakeside camping

Uncrowded lakeside camping. Great for swimming, boating, fishing, and kayaking. Very quiet and peaceful. Great camp hosts. Very clean bathrooms and showers. My visit was during the summer months, didn’t get any mosquitos bites but there were a lot of gnats, so bring bug repellent or screened…

Tate’s Hell Womack Creek

Booked for one night at Tate’s Hell Womack Creek, and we will be back! This is a great location for people who truly love nature, and the water. Don’t take the dirt road all the way there, keep going on hey 68 until you get to Rock Landing on the right, then take that road down to Jeff Sanders,…

Absolutely gorgeous beach camping!

Highly recommended, the campsites are fairly small but lots of privacy in an oak and pine hammock across from the beach. Not many tent campers when I went there, I think I was the only person with a rooftop tent. Almost everybody else was in RVs.

Electric and water at each site, nice…

Well maintained and beautifully located.

Awesome campground with good amenities. Each site has fire ring, picnic table, water and electric. Most sites had good flora between sites, offering a little privacy. Restroom and shower facilities with a coin operated laundry.

Awesome primitive campsites on secluded beach.

St. George Island State Park is gorgeous. The drive over the bridge is breathtaking. The lighthouse stand at the end of the bridge. Take a right to drive along the Gulf Coast to the park's entrance. Beautiful beaches and day use areas were open. Some areas were closed for hurricane damage repair.

Primitive, rustic, and deserving of its name.

At over 200,000 acres, Tate's Hell is the second largest State Forest in Florida, second only to Blackwater River State Forest in Santa Rose County. That's Hell is located off of U>S> Highway 98 in  Franklin County, between the Apalachicola and Ochlockonee rivers. Check out The Ledgend of…

Terrible

There is no shade, no privacy between campsites, if you want to have a fire you have to pay extra to rent a firepit, if you want to play pool or minigolf or even horseshoes then you have to give the front desk your license and turn them back in before they close at 5. Staff was rude and nit very…

Nice Park

While this is still a pretty park, it was hit hard by Hurricane Michael. Still has pretty sites around a nice backwater lake of the Chattahoochee River. Really nice for fishing and winter camping, it has limited shade for summer outings. Nice staff.

The Ho Hum is Anything But

The Ho Hum is a great little campground right on St George Sound near Carrabelle. The sites are gravel, level, and large enough. All are full hook-ups. There is a very nice bathhouse and laundry on the property, and a propane fill station. Our campsite was one tier back facing the water. We could…
