Bring your snow tires

Easy to find, but sites are primarily soft sand. Our van got stuck and had to be towed out.

Great Campsite near Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

Within just 20 miles of the Organ Pipe National Monument, Gunsight Wash allows dispersed camping up to 14 days. There are enough flat parking areas scattered throughout the BLM area to accommodate hundreds of rigs. You should be able to find a quiet spot, though it's unlikely that you'll have the…

Arizona hospitality AAA

The Owner of this campground is amazing. She goes beyond duty for her guests. We had a lovely time here & Joyce showed the children some of Arizona's night creatures. Highly recommended!!

Perfect for winter weather camping. Visited in April and it was Africa 🥵 HOT. No water. Dry camping. Beautiful though. Stars are bright.

Good free dispersed boondocking

Stayed here for three nights with the wife and kids in a tear drop type camper. It has a good amount of spots that are flat. We have never camped in the desert before, but it is still too cold for the woods. We enjoyed it and it really piqued our interest in desert camping. We did a short overland…

Nothing to write home about

Not a place you’d want to drive out of your way to. Theirs not much for scenic views except for some mountain range in the distance. Just a lot of creosote bushes, trash and Atv’s kicking up the power in the area. I thought it would be a good place to wait for package I had delivered to in Buckeye.…

Large Campsites

This campground is located about 12 miles off the interstate with easy paved access all the way to the campground. The campground is very well maintained and clean. There are covered picnic areas and group camping area. The fee is$8.00 a night, but can be discounted with national park access pass.…

Back Again

I have found that this is a nice location. If you want to visit in this area, it is very conveniently located about three miles from the Organ Pipe National Park. There is a campground in the park. It offers paved parking and barbecue grills, but it still dry camping. Since this is free I find it a…

Nice Winter Hideaway

Very nice location only 4.5 miles from town market. The sign entering the park says "Permits Required" but I spoke to some campers that came here every winter and said that stopped about four years ago and no one there that I spoke to had one.

There is and area for horses and a picnic area…

Clean RV park

Easy to get to from the 10 freeway, good sized RV park w decent sized sites, park is kept clean, pool, Pickleball courts, cornhole area, dog park, huge laundry room, and the people are nice. Regular pull through spots are kind of like buddy spots as your doors face each other. Back in and deluxe…

Desert camping

Primitive and far from civilization. Right next to highway 85, so there is a lot of traffic noise. Since this is dispersed there are not any facilities, but surprisingly there is little privacy. Several RVs,but no hook ups. Very close to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Calm and isolated

It is absolutely amazing here. Plenty of space for disperse, primitive camping. This seems like a popular place for primitive camping, but it is so easy to find a quiet private spot. The Ajo MTB trails are here and there is OHV.

Excellent boondocking

Saddle Mountain is an amazing place to stay. There are lots of trails for hiking or mountain biking, and a few ATVs but they are not bothersome. The various roads that take you closer to the mountain can be quite rocky so keep in mind your vehicle clearance while driving in.

The further you…

It Is What It Is

We agree with the previous reviewer’s assessment of this place, however, we decided to brave it and stay the night anyway because we needed hot showers and to get caught up on laundry and this place is very cheap. It is pretty run down but we did not feel unsafe here. There are dog running around…
