Diamond in the Rough

Stumbled upon this gem when trying to get campground (CG) reservations near the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim, but none were to be found. Meadview is near the Grand Canyon West Rim and on the Arizona side of Lake Mead. The drive in from Kingman through Dolan Springs was very interesting and…

It’s desolate out here but this is a clean and quiet RV/camp site. 2 RV’s with families night one/ 2 RV’s with families pulling in as we were leaving on day 3 so we had the whole park to ourselves for one day. The RV area is dirt roads but well kept. Showers and bathrooms close by, decently clean…

Dispersed

Not to much to say but it’s a desert and free camping. No hook ups Atv heaven Dirt bike fun Big area to get dirty and have fun. If you want to check out something cool find the painting in the hills and it’s amazing what some local artist did for sure. If your lucky you may find some bulls…

Easy to get to

We enjoyed our stay here. There are many spots to pull into here that are far enough away from those who are also camping here. There are spots right close to the road where you'll hear the occasional vehicle pass and every so often a train. You can also venture further away from the road and feel…

Kingman KOA

This is a typical KOA located within a suburban neighborhood. The campground is located about 2 miles from the grocery store, shopping center, and freeway. Although it wasn't open when I was there, there is a food truck at the campground that everyone says has good food. It was quiet at night…

Remote and Quiet

Peaceful campground located above Lake Mead with oleander, eucalyptus, and olive trees in the landscape. Flush toilets and water spigots scattered around campground. Campsite pads are relatively short. This campground was probably built in the early 1970s, well before the advent of big rigs.…

Clean and very nice

Facilities are clean; sites are are big and separated by large trees.  Miniature gold and kid's playground super fun.  Hook ups all worked great.  Lots of sites.

In a pinch this will work

They have bathrooms, showers, RV hook ups, laundry and propane services. A lot of people I believe reside here long term, but if your trying to see the back side of Grand Canyon this is your spot. Across the street is a neat turquoise store you should check out and they have property for cheap out…

Worth the trip!

Small town, big heart is what comes to mind when I think of Happy Trails. Extremely hospitable hosts, very welcoming, but will respect your space if you’re not feeling chatty. Free coffee in the mornings and clean bathrooms with a shower. I tent camped with 2 dogs, lots of space on the tent sites.…
