Nice sites, not so nice beaches

The camp sites were great. They were clean and well kept. The water was really low. We don’t own a boat, so we were shore bound. Lots of rocks and trash on the shores and the sand was like quick sand along the water. Long story short, don’t go to hang out by the water and swim.

It is also worth…

Good Campground

I've camped at this campground twice now; once in August of 2020 and once in July of 2021. Both times the experience has been good. The campsite has potable water and vault toilets. Before my two visits, I reserved my sites on recreation.gov. This made the experience hassle-free.

One thing to…

So pretty, but…

This campground is very remote. There are pit toilets, but no water so you have to bring your own in. Also, you have to haul out your garbage since there aren’t any dumpsters onsite. The campground is in great shape and well taken care of. I love that the sites will accommodate more than one…

Beautiful

It’s a beautiful spot with lots of hiking and shade. The water was pretty low and you had to slug through some nasty mud to get in, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The camp host was the sweetest lady ever! We will be coming back for sure!

  • My son loved the mud 😂
  • Beautiful hiking
  • Great for dogs

Beautiful climbing basecamp

This is a gorgeous canyon! Most people come here for climbing. We stayed in site A and had an abundance of shade. There is a firepit available and pit toilets at the main campground parking area. Cash/envelopes to pay for camping. I dont think you can reserve campsites here. Pack in your own water…

Very disappointing

Upon on arrival, unknown what spot we were to be in, attempted to call the numbers listed overs 40 times, went to automated busy every time. Finally got in touch with somebody thru a number provided by another camper (someone’s personal cell), who then told us to just pick a spot and she would move…

Pleasant Surprise

We stayed there 6/6/21 on our way to Yellowstone. Great place for a pit stop. Very clean with friendly staff. Great location if you wanted an ATV vacation. Full hook ups. We stayed in site 8. We would stay there again.

Fine campground

Not a bad campground at all! Close proximity to the water, newer facilities at each site. We appreciated the shade over each table! The food prep table was a nice touch. As a heads up, the trees are not mature enough to provide any shade at all, so be prepared for sunny sites! Water hookups at each…

A wonderful quiet place

My first time in an rv. Only $15 per night and that gives you free access to the reservoir

Closed

Was unable to get in, this whole area was under closure. No for sure for how long. It wasn't a normal seasonal closure. Cuz all the areas around it are opened.

Large Parking Area

This entry is spelled incorrectly—It is Soldier Pass. We were just looking for a place to park our RV while we visited our daughter in Eagle Mountain. There was plenty of room. There were a number of trucks with flatbed trailers that I assume transported ORV’s.

  • Our 5th wheel —lots of space
  • Sign to Soldier Pass and shooting range
  • Beautiful view of Utah Lake and Mt. Timpanogas
