Nice KOA

The spots are a little tight but lots of spaces here. We're in a 40 ft Allegro Bus. Our space was 65 ft long which was good since we tow as well. Concrete pads are nice. Grass in between, clean and quiet. I liked hearing the train horn in the distance. 😀 nice koa

Good stop that is city adjacent

Looks like less of a parking lot than the adjacent private RV park. Short walk to the beach and swimming area, but no other significant recreational activities. Sites are paved, many with hookups. Served well as an overnight stop on our way north.

Great SLC stop over

This my 3 stay here at Utah Lake state park. 2x in July and now in September. I’m a single female traveler. With the heat this summer I’ve been boondocking in the mountains and then come down to the valley to restock and plug in for a few days. This state park checks all of the boxes.

Utah Lake

Utah Lake State Park gets a lot of users both day users and overnight. It is pretty close to population centers.

I like to go to fish. There are a lot of catfish and white bass. Some walleye. The kids like to swim though the water is a little muddy in some parts

  • white bass—when fishing is hot you can catch over 100 in an hour or two
  • kiddos like swimming in Utah Lake. The water is a little muddy sometimes

Camp by the creek

I got a site right by the creek. Set up my hammock and listen to the running water.

Only negative is the site is off the main canyon road and there is some traffic noise during the day.

  • Tibble Fork Reservoirnis just up the road. it is great for kayaking and paddle boarding also trout fishing
  • Tibble fork reservoir is just up the road

Easy and quiet

Set up was easy, drove past the BLM sign about half a mile and stayed on a flat open area. Mosquitos were terrible, bring bug spray! Happy camping!

Great but don’t get the group site on other side of road

This place is a great place to camp if you have one of the single or double site next to lake. There is plenty of grass and great facilities. The group site on other side of road is not the best.

Nice and quiet

I pick up a new rv locally and need some time to pack out the new rv. Stayed 3 nights. Very quiet and would recommend.

Cabin Camping

We planned to tent camp here, but our friends rented the cabin next to our site and couldn’t make it last minute. So we got the cabin! Great spot. Lake is cool and an easy walk down from the sites. Shade is at a premium, so we were very happy to get the cabin because it was crazy hot. Clean…
