This park is very clean and quiet. Loved the atmosphere and location. Was not fat stores when needed. Was not a busy location. Very calm and laid back. Loves it and will definitely be back!
Beautiful state park with a golf course, swimming pool and a creek that runs through it.
Great campground. Everyone was appropriately spaced out. We were able to see tons of deer and even a little fox one morning. There is swimming by the boat ramp but no beach, it is a rocky area but the kids and adult had so much fun. Water is beautiful. This is definitely my tip list local spot for…
We were graciously greeted by a neighbor who shared a few local favorites for biking , water access & historic gems. Shouldn’t the office make that available? We never saw or heard from a staff member for the three nights we stayed. We did speak with office staff to make the reservation who…
Very peaceful and scenic! Our site 026 view faced the lake. Many deer came thru our camp each evening.
My first time there. I witnessed a young boy being pulled out by another young boy for drowning. Didn’t want my kids to see what was happening so I left. Would definitely camp there though.
This campground has no shade but is close to Chalk Ridge Waterfall and other hikes. Beware, this short hike is still very rugged. The steps are covered in mudslides and there is zero signage to instruct people where to go.

Pace bend is a great little spot if you’re wanting to get out of the city for the weekend. Full of hiking, fishing, cliff jumping (at your own risk), and kayaking. They have reserved sites and first come first serve.
This is a beautiful and huge camp ground with lots of nature to admire. The camp sites are spacious and feel very private, yet you don't feel alone with other campers nearby you. We had a stunning full hook up camp site with a climbable tree and took a hike to the waterfalls! There's lots of hiking…
This park is a great stop if you are on your way from Houston to Austin. It's actually connected to Bastrop State Park by an 11 mile road that is mostly used for cycling. And that's exactly what we did! There was very little road traffic and the views were great! There are also several scenic…

Everything is in working order. Not every site works for hammock camping, as some lack trees the required distance apart.
Men's restroom was decently clean, shower worked well. If you want a spotless bathroom, hike over to the underused day use area.
At this point, you must have a reservation to…
well enough to kayak. The views were awesome and the trail was nice enough for bikes. The only downfall was the campsites were a little too close together. But they had a lot of shade and a fire ring. And a nice pad to set everything up. Good beginner campsite.
We have a pull behind. We were very surprised at how level our gravel campsite was. It made setup a breeze. The loop makes backing into your spot easy. The wifi is decent. We have enjoyed the hiking trails down by the water and the playground for our kids.
The site has a great view of lake Travis. The park host is great and very help full. The showers are open so you have to shower in your swimsuit and the bathroom are port potty’s this was a big negative for us. The biggest downside to this park is you have to care everything in to your site. The…
We stayed in Bastorp state park in our little teardrop trailer. The folks at the check-in point were very friendly and helpful. The campsite we had full hookups and was well shaded. We spent two days there and took several long hikes. We really enjoyed the changes in elevation, terrain and views.…
