Elk Grove

It is a beautiful campground. However theres one shower for ladies in the bathroom. The feminine hygiene waste hasn't been emptied in the last 2 days... It's full. The bathroom floors are dirty. Our neighbor has had a hacking cough which is scary and there are currently no fires allowed.

Crowded but cozy

This place was packed. The site had a table and fire pit. Enough flat spot to put my little tent. Most everyone here had RVs and there are Yurts interspersed throughout the campground. Restrooms were large and clean.

No Privacy and Lots of Loose Dogs

Not our favorite campground but will do in a pinch, plus the price was very reasonable.

Not too far off of 101, easy paved drive, just a little winding. $8 for camping, and the America the Beautiful and other Interagency passes are honored here and is half off with a pass.

This is a…

Between a Road and River

Open area type county campground with no privacy that sits between the main road and the river.

A lot of fishing boats as it has great river access but very crowded. We checked it out but did not stay here as it was dusty and crowded and loud. There was no water provided at this time, also NO…

Hot, Dusty and Nice (and Free!)

This BLM area is a quick turn off the main road.  Take a right or left to start the loop and you’ll find various spots for dispersed camping. The road is mostly ok with some areas of high rocks but we made it in our 26ft Class C with only one ding on the steps. Larger vehicles might have problems…

It really is warmer here!!

Everything we read talked about this being a micro-climate that’s warmer than the rest of the OR coast but we were skeptical for sure. Turns out it was totally true…it was so much warmer here than either Bandon or Newport! The layout of the park is great (especially the lower loop) and the beach is…

Meadow BLM

$8 a night or $4 w interagency pass. On-site host who sells firewood. Vault toilets, clean but strong smell if you have a site down-wind. But GREAT for solar set ups- all day sunshine. Good for stargazing too. But no privacy between sites, basically just a big meadow. A bit of a party camp but…

Nice RV park

Nice lil RV park. Coin showers are YMCA style, but hot. Flush toilets. No WiFi, no TMobile. There’s a day use area and road to the bar to put boats into the river. Quiet with camp host on site but a bit of a fish bowl- no privacy between sites. Heads up, 420 unfriendly, zero tolerance policy. But…

Do Not let the close proximity to I-5 keep you from staying here. We are on B loop and while outside the traffic noise is audible, it gets lost in the wind through the trees. Southern Oregon is currently in a extreme drought, so absolutely no open fires are allowed. Still many access points to…

State Park on the Oregon Coast

This state park is just north of the quaint town of Bandon. There are a wide variety of campsites, to include yurts. It is very difficult to get reservations for this popular campground (CG). We tried as soon as the reservation window opened and it was already booked. So, we didn’t actually camp…

Very nice and quiet

We were there over the 4th of July weekend and there were probably 100 campers there. Once the weekend is over there were only a few. The staff is very friendly the grounds are kept very clean. There's good showers and there's water sources close by and there's fire pits. We went to the camping…
