Site 6 - Must Stay

All of the sites on the water side are huge! Plenty of room to set up however you want. A good mix of RVs and tents. However, I haven’t heard any generators from the RVs. Very quiet place except for a few laughs heard from other campsites. Site 6 has a beautiful view of the water and perfect…

Not family friendly

Thought this would be a good campground for a family and it wasn’t. Lots of rules limiting the kids. Kids stuff is only open during certain times. Staff are unpleasant.

Nice riverside campground

Stayed here for the night in a tent only. Check-in went smoothly and they even adjusted my reservation site to add space between the other campers. The bathroom is a simple outhouse and there is a water pump from a well you can use to fill up at. They also have a playset and sandbox onsite as well…

Great family friendly campground

We stopped here for a night on our cross-country trip, wish we had 2 nights because we had lots of thunderstorms.  We camped in our teardrop on the primitive tent loop.  Sites were nice and secluded where we were, but you could hear a few late night partiers nearby.  Tons of things to do…

My favorite State Park so far!

LOVED this park.  There is a great amount of greenery between sites, bathrooms were good.  So much to do you don't have to leave the park:  great bike paths / hiking paths, a lodge with restaurant, cabins, golfing, kayak rental, beaches, tennis, basketball.  Really, almost anything you can think…

THIS is how campgrounds should be!!

This campground is so thoughtfully planned out, it's amazing. Every site is separated by a line of brush/bushes, maybe trees, so that you aren't jammed up against your neighbors. Some sites have shade, some do not, but at least you have shrubbery. The bathrooms were clean and some had doors you…

Quiet retreat

Nice campground with decent showerhouse and service. This is campground houses a lot of permanent sites but doesn't ruin the experience.

Very friendly and helpful, Good place to stay one night

The campground is filled with mostly seasonal campers and the campsites are very close together. There are large trees on the property for shade. There is a very small pond which is used for swimming and fishing, but did not look inviting to me. In general the campground had an untidy appearance…

Need some peace?

This place is a small slice of heaven. They have all your hook ups but what was really special was the peace at the lake. It melted all the stress of driving away only if for a short while. The kids also had a blast and all of our neighbors were very sweet people. 😊 If you find this review please…

So Much to Do

This park is huge. There is so much to do here, we didn’t leave the park at all! Just a short walk or bike ride to Lake Erie via a paved path. I highly recommend taking a bike, as there are so many trails and paths to ride throughout the park. The marshy swamp area was neat to see, there were…

Enjoyed the spacing and privacy of the sites

Sites are spaced far enough apart and usually with a divider of trees or bushes between sites to give you a little more privacy than most campgrounds. We have a teardrop, so we can’t rely on an RV to provide privacy from the sites next to us. Very well laid out, although a bit of a hike to the…
