Quiet camping

This is a very quite campground. Big sites with many close to the water. Several water pumps and out houses. One of my favorites!

My Favorite

This is the most amazing campground there is. I was on the side of the water and it was absolutely exceptional. Easy access to the water and lots to explore whether on the beach or on the trails. Words cannot do the beauty of this campground and area justice. The campground itself was easy to get…

Lovely campground

Well maintained campground on the shore of lake Michigan. Full hookups and Wi-Fi, however the internet connection can be intermittent. A little close to US 2 so there is some road noise. If you're lucky the sound of waves will drown it out.

Quiet, convenient, easy access

We stayed here two nights while visiting Pictured Rocks. We had a great site with plenty of privacy. East walking access to the.beach where we could sit and watch daylight escape.

Very large sites, good wifi

Newer campground so the landscaping is still being developed. Basically a large open field but the sites are large and easy to maneuver in. 4 cabins also available. Very close to tourist locations.

Quiet, coastal, remote.

Great campsite in the middle of Pictured Rocks. Close to the light station and Hurricane river, and about 35 minutes to Munising and the boats. Simple campground, steps from the lake on a peaceful and quiet Lake Superior beach. Wonderful spot.

This campground is gorgeous! We stayed in site 30 and it was huge with a beautiful lake view just steps away on a sandy path. Tgis was our favorite campground of a 3 week road trip. Just beautiful! Pit toilets kept clean.

  • 12 mile beach-- easily accessible from the campground
  • site 30
  • the view of Lake Superior from the path behind site 30

Shake it up!

So getting here will rattle the teeth outta your head — dirt county road. The campground is small but well-spaced so you have privacy. On the sandy shores of Lake Superior, this is a tucked away gem but it was so early in our site-seeing day, we didn’t want to get anchored to a place so far back…

No no no

This place looks like a scene from a movie; like Vacation (1983) pool full of swans scene instead of RV (2006) picturesque scenes! Packed full, one spot (literally up to the highway — noise fetish?) and it was the roomiest; just looks sad. Lots of kids. We’ve raised ours, don’t mind kids, but when…

Nice cement pads, made setting up a breeze since we were level from unhooking. Clean and quiet except some road noise. Hookups are great from electric to water and cable. Right on lake Michigan with Sandy beaches to walk or swim.

Quiet Family Oriented camping

Very nice camp ground, central location for upper peninsula activities. Very nice heated pool. Campsites are a bit close to each other but otherwise very nice.

Close to Pictured Rocks

I have stayed here multiple times! I even stayed here before it was a KOA. This location kept me coming back. The KOA now offers may different activities for kids too. I spent most of my days out in the park, but the campground is close by and has all the basics you need: campfire pit, picnic…

Great historical campground

We love the history of the campground with the bay furnace within the limits. Where they used to smelt iron in a 150 year old furnace is fascinating. The views are incredible overlooking lake superior, grand island and its smaller brother islands. Swimming beach provided and a smaller day use area…

Nice campground with electric hook up no water at site. Nice spacious shaded sites with pull throughs available. The historic site is a must see.
