Thank you for considering Clayton Geneva memorial campground for your camping trip. Please read the entire description including our rules and regulations. Also be sure to view the site map. The gravel driveway to the sites is passable with any vehicle. If you choose to use our alternate parking there will be a hike to your site, appropriately 1/8 of a mile. I can’t stress enough that it is primitive camping, there is a restroom available at the top of the hill. We are inviting you to enjoy a peaceful, primitive camping experience on a spacious plot right on the sandy banks of the Cumberland River. We offer a tree canopy covered, serene spot that offers river swimming, fishing, enjoy a camp fire or just plain nothing but peace and quiet. Each site is equipt with a fire ring. The drive way to the primitive sites is a little lane that wraps around a mountain side that leads to the primitive sites. We do our best to keep up with it however due to the nature of weather, gravity and water it’s a constant chore. Your welcome to hike in to the sites, it’s not mandatory that you driver on down. If you feel comfortable by all means slowly drive directly to your site. If your not sure of the lane please hike to your site. Hikers, Horses and riders welcome, located a couple miles from Daniel Boone National Forrest, seemingly endless trails through some of the most beautiful country. Bring your canoe and kayaks. Located 16 miles from Cumberland Falls State Park. Located 11 miles from Sheltowee Trade Adventure Park. Located 11 miles from Kentucky Splash Water Park. True West is centrally located by Big South Fork with easy access to a great many outdoor adventures. Our facilities include 33 easy access, level RV and camping sites, all with water and electric, some with sewer hookups. Our shower houses are very clean and provide plenty of hot water!

For those who use it, there is a WIFI hot spot on the covered deck and a Verizon "hot spot" where cell phone signals are hard to come by! 

Don't have a Camper or Living Quarter? We've got you covered! We have lodging available to rent. Many different options to choose from. There is the Marshal Suite in the main building, the tucked-in-the-woods Miner's Shack Cabin or a camper you can rent that will sleep a family of up to 10. We also offer the unique experience of sleeping in covered wagons or teepee - but with some creature comforts of home (beds!!).

If you are in need of horse facilities, we have two large barns with a total of 67 stalls, each with 2 bucket hooks for your water and feed, a saddle rack and a bridle hook. We have a few extra large stalls, as well as two large horse wash areas, and a large 60' round pen.

True West also offers parking and the use of the common area to those just passing through for the day and needing access to the trails.

## Overview

Blue Heron Campground is a rustic and spacious campground, situated on the Kentucky side of The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area--a vast and scenic expanse of land that offers visitors countless recreational activities.

## Recreation

Numerous trails snake through the Recreation Area, offering mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding for visitors.   
  
The main river of the Big South Fork is also a short drive away, offering fishing opportunities.

## Facilities

Blue Heron Campground combines the experience of traditional woods camping with the modern convenience of flush toilets, hot showers and electric hookups. Sites can accommodate both RV and tent camping.   
  
The campsites are spacious and provide picnic areas and plenty of shade.

## Natural Features

The Big South Fork is located in north central Tennessee and southeastern Kentucky in some of the most rugged terrain of the Cumberland Plateau. The park encompasses approximately 125,000 acres of both rocky gorges and forested plateaus.   
  
Numerous pristine streams unite with the free-flowing Big South Fork of the Cumberland River. Over thousands of years, this ceaselessly moving water has carved the sandstone of the plateau into impressive cliffs, arches and chimneys that are found throughout the park. 

## Nearby Attractions

Just a few miles from the campground is Blue Heron Mine, also known as Mine 18, a historic abandoned mining town that has been rebuilt as an outdoor museum. Visitors can hear audio presentations from actual people who lived in the community in the 1950s. The Big South Fork Scenic Railway Depot is located about 9 miles away in the town of Stearns, which offers train rides and other educational opportunities for campers. Additional attractions include the Daniel Boone National Forest and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, offering additional recreation opportunities.

At Maple Hill we have two different types of sites plus two different style of cabins: Pull Thru: 65 feet in length and can fit a large motor coach with ease Back-in: 45 feet in length All of our sites are equipped with water, sewage, 20 amp / 30 amp / 50 amp, electrical hook up, cable TV, and WIFI. Cabins: The Studio- is a 350 sq ft fully furnished cabin. Sleeps two adults comfortably with a sitting porch across the front to enjoy the sunrise Rustic Deluxe Bunkhouse- is a rustic bunk house with a half bath that sleeps four. Water, air and heat, cable TV, microwave, mini fridge, a double bed and two bunks (no linens provided) and a porch on the front to enjoy nature, fireflies, and cool nights for stargazing. Primitive tent sites- walk down the nature trail to find these secluded primitive sites, close to the bath house, pavilion and large communal fire pit and BBQ grill.

Summer Shoals Retreat is a beautiful river front private campground. We have both sleep cabins and tent sites on a mowed bank or backwoods camping on the Cumberland River. We are located 15 mins southwest of Williamsburg Kentucky within the Wild and Scenic Cumberland River corridor. We are within a 10 minute hike to trails that will take you into the Daniel Boone National Forest.

## Overview

Obey River Park is a spacious campground located on the shores of Dale Hollow Lake, in the hills of Tennessee. The campground provides the largest camping area at the lake, as well as the largest and most visited swimming beach. 

## Recreation

Dale Hollow is renowned for its fishing opportunities. In addition to yielding the world record smallmouth bass and being known as a trophy smallmouth lake, the Obey River below Dale Hollow Dam is also known for excellent rainbow and brown trout fishing.   
  
Boating and water skiing are also popular activities, and with 27,700 surface acres of water and 620 miles of shoreline, there is plenty of space for campers to explore the lake.   
  
Obey River is the most popular campground and day-use area on Dale Hollow Lake. This is a vacation destination for camping, boating, skiing, fishing and beach-goers. The site is conveniently located next to a small community hosting restaurants, history and several marinas.

## Facilities

Obey River Park Campground features 123 single party campsites, four group camping (double party) sites and two large group picnic shelters. Electric hookups, drinking water, flush toilets and a dump station all create a comfortable camping experience.   
  
A swimming beach, basketball court and playgrounds provide additional recreational opportunities. 

**Camping is limited to a 14-day stay within a 30-consecutive day period.**

**Site Type Definitions:**

  * An **RV Site** is a paved/concrete site for wheeled camping units such as motorhome, fifth wheel, pull trailer and pop-up campers. RV sites are not suitable for tents.
  * A **Standard Site** is one with a fine gravel surface pad. It will accommodate wheeled units and tents.
  * A **Tent Site** will accommodate tents only.
  * **Group Standard Electric/Tent** are group camping sites (70 & 71, 105 & 106, 110 & 111, 113 & 114). One fee for both sites. ATB pass discounts do not apply. View cancellation policies as group site refund policies differ from standard sites.
  * **Group Shelter Electric Sites** are the picnic shelters.

All camping equipment and vehicles are to be located on the designated site pad or parking areas.

A **Wi-Fi hub** is provided in the vicinity of the registration center providing customers the opportunity to make calls, check weather, stay up-to-date on email, and use their mobile device for making future reservations or current reservation adjustments when the registration center is closed.

Obey River Park is adjacent to Sunset Marina. The park is operated by the Corps of Engineers and the marina by a private concessionaire. Visitors using the marina are subject to operating policies and any launch/parking fees associated with the marina.

## Natural Features

Dale Hollow Dam and Lake was completed in 1943. Although the dam was built for flood control and power generation, it has now become a recreational oasis for more than 3 million visitors each year.   
  
The dam is located on the Obey River, about 3 miles east of Celina, Tennessee. Surrounded by a thick expanse of forest, the clear blue lake creates a stunning scenic backdrop for a variety of water and land recreational activities.   
  
In the late fall through early spring, the American Bald Eagle can be spotted flying overhead or perched on low-lying limbs. Dale Hollow hosts the second largest wintering eagle population in the states of Tennessee and Kentucky.   
  
During migration seasons the call of the sandhill crane is often heard overhead. Lucky visitors might catch a glimpse of one up close, as they often land near the campground. 

## Nearby Attractions

The nearby towns of Byrdstown and Pall Mall, Tennessee, offer historic sites and tours. The Cordell Hull Birthplace and Memorial is located near Byrdstown, Tennessee. Hull, a great statesman, is most widely remembered as a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and the father of the United Nations. The Sergeant Alvin York Home Place, home of the World War I hero, is located in Pall Mall, Tennessee.   
  
The Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery is about 35 miles from the campground. Operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the hatchery is the largest federal trout hatchery east of the Mississippi, producing 1.5 million trout annually. The hatchery is open to visitors daily.

  * There is no fee to make a reservation.
  * A $10 service fee will be withheld from any refund for a cancellation.
  * A $10 service fee may be charged to changes made to an existing reservation (see full policies for when this is applicable).
  * A customer who cancels a standard campsite reservation **the day before or on the day of arrival** will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation).
  * Customers who cancel a group overnight campsite reservation **less than 14 days before the arrival date** will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee.
  * Customers who cancel a group day-use facility reservation (picnic shelter) less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.
  * No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night’s recreation fee for a campsite or forfeit the entire day-use fee for a day-use facility.
  * Applicable fees, including service/cancellation fees and change fees, are non-refundable and subject to change.
  * No refunds for recreation use fees may be made at the campground.
  * Early departures must depart and drop their tag before the checkout time in order to receive a refund for the unused day.

## Overview

Kendall Campground is located at 80 Kendall Road, south of Jamestown, Kentucky, just below Wolf Creek Dam, which forms beautiful Lake Cumberland.

## Recreation

Lake Cumberland is the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi River. Its large surface acreage and over 1,200 miles of shoreline provide a myriad of recreational activities.   
  
Kendall Campground offers visitors convenient access to a cold water trout stream, making it a popular fishing destination. The stream is well-stocked with rainbow, brook and brown trout.  
  
Whispering Pines Trail, located within the campground, is a non-strenuous trail approximately half a mile long.

## Facilities

The campground is a multi-use recreation area, consisting of 70 acres and 116 reservable campsites, all of which have water and electric hookups.   
  
  
  
Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring/grill and lantern post. A group day-use picnic shelter with water and electric hookups is available as well.  
  
  
A boat ramp, fish cleaning station, basketball court, horseshoe pit, hiking trail and playgrounds are located within the park.

## Natural Features

The campground overlooks the river, offering sweeping scenic views. Dense stands of mature hardwoods forest the site, offering scenic views, pleasant shade and wildlife habitat. Because of the temperate climate and relatively long recreation season, the lake provides varied outdoor recreational opportunities for millions of visitors each year. 

## Nearby Attractions

Lake Cumberland State Park is just 6.5 miles from the campground. This beautiful park offers fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mini golf, disc golf and boat rentals. Birders enjoy the park for its exceptional viewing prospects of raptors, songbirds and waterfowl.  
  
Grider Hill Marina and Resort is 25 minutes away, with boat rentals, a restaurant and general store.  
  
Jamestown Marina & Resort is 25 minutes away, with boat rentals, a restaurant and general store.  
  
State Dock Marina is 8 miles away, with boat rentals, snack bar and general store.

Of the six parks in the Bluegrass State, Mammoth Cave is the only true national park. This area of southwestern Kentucky holds the best outdoor activities to be found in the state.

There are a large number of campsites across a few campgrounds, and Mammoth Cave Campground holds most of them. Both Mammoth Cave and Maple Springs Campgrounds are accessible for RVs. Backcountry camping is also available for interested hikers. The caves are, of course, the big draw, and no matter where you stay, you should take a cave tour.
