Our site was F33. Nice size. We had to navigate around the tree for our awning but it gave us some much needed shade for the heat. The comfort station closest to our campsite was clean and seemed well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.
Very quiet and pretty little campground. Site can house large RVs and tents. Bathrooms and shower is available. Water and electric as well but can also have dispersed. Site are close together but all seem to be on waterfront.
After reading negative reviews from 2020, I was hesitant that they were true. That all of the critters from Louisville flock to this area. That wasn’t entirely untrue. This place is absolutely great for people watching, but expect the quiet time hours to not be enforced and a large number of dogs…
Went here with a few of my buddies for one night. The experience was great, but we were all a bit disappointed with the fishing experience and how far access to the lake was from the primitive camping. Also we could not find firewood.
Enjoying our stay. Owners are updating as we speak and have many more planned. No sewer hookups but have a dump station on site and honey wagon service at trailer for a fee if needed. Tent camping also available. Well off highway so. I road noise to deal with, just lots of squirrels and chipmunks.
First time here and it was only an overnight stay, BUT we will definitely be back! The campground was clean, well spaced sites, and easy to access.
Great little park located just far enough away to get away but close enough to town to run and get something if you forgot it.
Campground is pretty compact but stays pretty quiet. Two well maintained restrooms and shower facilities. Property has a lodge, cabins, pull through, full hook up, and…
We were passing through on our way north. Chances a reservation here, as KOAs are hit or miss. We had our 16 yo grand daughter with us, and she actually had fun. Very well kept and the staff is great.
Not many first come first serve sites, but if you can snag a spot you will be rewarded with a peaceful evening. There is a theatre insight which is 70 years old and full of history. Amazing people, close to town and very inexpensive.
We live here full time love the camp site an the people who run the place an live here as well
Taylorsville Lake State Park campground is the newest in the KY state park system, and has gravel sites that have good spacing between sites. They are almost all very level which makes for easy set up. There are nice playgrounds for the kids and the roads are in excellent condition. Electrical…
This campground has much to offer. Tent/RV spaces galore, horse sites, and primitive. Two playgrounds, heated and clean bathrooms. Access to lots of trails and activities. I will say that the two primitive sites closest to the bath house are a bit wonky but totally useable but not for large tents.
Very nice state park with some nice trails. The Lake View trail was a good and tough hike. If you take young ones, be sure they will be self reliant. It can be very steep in some areas.
The campground is fairly large with nice size sites. Some can be short and a bit uneven, so be prepared.
I used this location as my FOB for a weekend of hiking in southern Indiana. The campground was nice. Being the first weekend in April, the water wasn’t turned on so there were no modern restrooms/shower houses available. I’d say the camp was 30% capacity over the weekend, relatively quiet in the…
Nice lake with outboard motors allowed. We enjoyed the water with out listening to the motors. They are not turning on water until April 15. The campground has some nice spots with cabins and areas for people with horses. Not to big but not to small.
